  1. you missed a great oppertunity to do the t-belts without beating the crap out of your hands Seriously though...great job!
  2. in order as you asked it: yes not likely. Maybe it was an option but not that I know of some had FT 4wd (which had a diff lock switch) and some had PT 4wd (push button 4wd) Stripped head bolt I'd say use a helicoil for it...but I really don't know what else to say.
  3. what is the engine oil capacity of an 83 EA-81 TIA, Matt
  4. I bought "D" rings for a trailer once and it came with the thing that you weld it on with.
  5. it (the subaru) will do whatever you want it to do as long as you have some ground clearance. For the soft sand you will want to make sure it has d/r 4wd (In my opinion) Don't forget they are plenty good in the snow too even with cheap wal-mart tires on them.
  6. don't forget to factor in that the 2000 legacy is going to need a t-belt soon. Factor in the cost of that too!
  7. it wouldn't work in any of my cars so it wasn't a big deal.... I plan to get it...it is just a matter of when.
  8. after putting that engine in there you just increased the reliability about a 1000x in my opinion. Now is when I wouldn't get rid or it.
  9. I'm thinking it is the spring from the relief valve on the oil pump. I haven't had one infront of me in a while...
  10. just remember....if you get a winch I highly recommend getting one of those thingys (can't remember the right name) that has a pulley at the end and you put the lead through it and bring it back to hook onto the car. (is snatch block right????) I believe they double the capicity of the winch when you have one of those. Something like that (don't mind me...was just at the Dr. and can't think right)
  11. ever consider putting a 2" reciever hitch on the front so you can get a winch and have it removable? Food for thought.... What about turnsignals? are you going to powder coat or rattle can it?
  12. ouch... don't let the woman in the pic see it... didn't you say that was an ugly breakup? :-\
  13. I kinda like the brown myself....and that funky green they had back in the 80's was cool in my opinion. I once got a door for my 79 wagon from a doaner that as my dad called it "calf $hit green"...yeah that was dina ugly. Brown does hide the rust pretty well though.
  14. paul's 78 does have one: I think it could work but I don't think he has it hooked up.
  15. Then Poof goes the HG right? FTL!!!!!!!11!!!!!1!! sorry had to do it...good going junkie....i wanna see 4 black marks on the pavement after it is done.
  16. There is a 99 legacy wagon here that would be absolutely perfect for you...the only problem is the 2000 miles between us. With that being said find a regular legacy (not an outback) with a stickshift (assuming that you want a stick) and you'll have the best (in my opinion) car that your money can buy. Legacy with a 2.2 and a 5 speed.
  17. if you mapquest the zipcode he gives at the top of the post it give you Swathmore.
  18. my 99 legacy with 58k does it too. wife ignores it and I shift to N. My parents have a 99 legacy also (actually identical...color and all) and it has 62k on it with new plugs, wires, all fluids, t-belt, etc. and it does it too. :-\ Somebody please solve this....
