250k and 2k+ miles away.... no way in heck. If you look hard enough and be patient.... you'll find one. I personally know of a loyale sedan in PA that has next to no rust on the body (didn't see the frame b/c of snow) and it is 5 speed with push button 4wd. It has 195k on it and it is sitting on a "bargain row" I would almost guarantee it is going to be $800 or maybe even less. Honestly i'd offer $600 for it. I personally looked at it last weekend...so it might even still be there. LMK

don't even think about it..... -
Hocrest has a 98 or 97 legacy that has over 200k on the tranny and he doesn't even bother to service it, drives it hard, and all that crap and it is great he says. My folks just bought a 99 legacy and it shifts great...it only has 61k on it but for someone who hates atuomatics (me) to say that is quite an accomplishment. The auto tranny I do hate is the automatic in the 90-94 legacy. They suck in my opinion. :-p If you take care of it and don't drive like a moron it will last....oh and the correct tires on the car with a good rotation history is a big plus too.

Even these old FWD GLs sure handle well!

ripping around town and hardly braking while doing it really makes the ricer crowd look at you kinda funny. Mine loves to run 75 but it can and will easily go to 85+...even though it needs a carb adj really badly. -

Group buy for '77 stage II thru '79 dash mats?
subeman90 replied to moosens's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
dash restoration???? how? Is that the same as going to J/Y's and searching for another dash in a color that I have never seen before (except mine)? If I'm wrong...please do tell... -
congrats on the b-day and good luck with the final....now do everyone a favor and get trashed but don't even think about touching the car...and stay inside too....people every now and then like to get drunk and pass out outside and then they are dead. Not a good idea. Party till you puke!

I just sent him an email about one for my 83. I'll let you all know if he has a response for me or not. I didn't mention anything about the ones you guys are interested in since I am not in need of one of those. -

Another Subaru Accessory Blowout Special List
subeman90 replied to Dr.Outback's topic in Products for your Subaru
I called about 2 different subwoofers and Ron said they weren't in stock.....is it possible he didn't know about the specal list or were they really sold already??? :-\ -
starting and running for short periods then not running it again will lead to premature exhaust rust out. Once it is off let it off. I just put my 83 in storage and I ran it around w/stabilizer in the tank a few days before parking it. I pulled the battery tonight and it is in my basement. The car is not going to get run for 3 months minimum. Benebob told me that if you put steelwool in the exhaust pipe it will keep mice out of your exhaust (nesting). Max inflation on the tires is a good idea and if you can spring for a cover all the better. I also have been told if you really want to go all out pull the plugs out and spray a little storage oil in the cyls. and put the plugs back in....it will keep the rings from getting stuck. Tell your OB to have a nice rest and visit it often to let it know you still care...
