  1. No no no.... those are the tires that exploded on the exploders. They aren't very good in the snow either I hear..... Matt
  2. I'm impressed... my first car was a 79 4wd wagon. My top speed was 93 alone on the highway and once it was 113 drafting a prelude on 78 outside of Allentown PA. I really miss that car.... if I find a pic I will post it sometime. Matt
  3. THANK YOU! I was really worried about the tent issue.... when you see my skin tone you will totally understand why I was concerned. If you need help with anything LMK. I'll shoot to be there about noonish too (wife needs to get a blood test on the way so it will slow the progress a little). PM or email if you nned to.... Matt
  4. Super nice ride.... when was the official welcome home party again??? Matt
  5. hahhhahahahahahahahah only in a jeep! Glad I bought my impreza rather than the liberty I was kinda thinking of... I wonder if I should show this to my cousin who just got a new CRD liberty. nah, he'll figure it out himself. Matt
  6. So when is this Meet and Greet for the newest member of the subaru family? Congrats Connie and a very warm thank you to everyone for saving another of a dying breed. So when is this party again... I can't wait to and of course Michelle will be like Matt
  7. I'm totally excited about this for you Connie! If you have a party depending on what wknd. it will be I believe that Michelle and I will most likely show up. This is me.... Be careful towing....you don't want to end up like this..... or your going to be .... Good luck guys and be safe! Matt
  8. a long time ago..... i got an engine from a JDM importer (not on ebay but through my garageman) and it was a darn good engine and also one time I got a 4EAT through the same company and it rocked too. The engine was a 2.2 though and the trans. was a legacy 4EAT..... Matt
  9. That filter is the one that came from the factory.... do not buy a wrench just for that filter because the one you replace it with is NOT that size! I know it is on there pretty good ( I have a scar on a knuckle from one) but you might want to go pay a local garage to knock it loose and then just go home and finish the job yourself. EDIT: BTW, it will use the same filter as your legacy OB. If you have more than one soob that uses the same filter buy them in bulk and save like I did.... Matt
  10. could the low compression be a HG or cracked head? Don't think the worst yet.... if it is a bad motor put a 2.2 in it. Matt PS: Still a good score though...
  11. hey Josh....don't you have to run the special additive in the VLSD's as opposed to the regular oil in the reg. LSD's? Just wondering if this is folklore or it is on the level? LMK, Matt
  12. it says on a tag on the rear diff. If I had a better camera I would take a pic of mine. Matt
  13. if you expect a 1986 Brat with 167k or whatever on it to shift like a miata then you are really grasping at straws. I have NEVER owned an EA-81 that didn't have a rubbery shifter. Granted there are a few folks on here that can correct this issue but.... I guess it doesn't matter anyhow. Right? I have seen the posts about the thing being a POS. Well buddy let me tell you...he was giving you a hell of a steal on the thing. You must not look on ebay much do you. Matt
  14. Had a great time getting soaked up at Paul's on sat. The trip home was lousy but we made it and that is all that matters. Didn't roll into town till 4am and the last 30 miles were a fight to stay awake but who cares..... I made a great score from Paul and must add that the folks that didn't make the trip missed out on some great stuff....not everything was free but paul was giving walmart deals on "the better stuff". To the crew that was there: it was great seeing you all again and hope you all had as much fun as Michelle and I did. See you at the next show in May. Paul: thanks for dinner and for having us up there! Matt
  15. he said he would put a plate on it for you...heck it will be dark if you wait till evening to leave. Matt
  16. ditto on the board b-day and happy 4-20 to everyone.... shame I had to work today...no stoner holiday for me. :-\ Matt
  17. Crap! I never went that direction on the Tappan... sorry Rally. Paul: what time is the festival starting? I'm bringing the PU for a couple of reasons...one being I pressured my pop into getting it svcd. so i could bring it and long story short the garage bill was $1200...so If I don't drive it I am going to look like this guy --> (hey paul...quit buying sh%$ would ya. ) Jessie: are you comming down to Paul's? (incase you don't know who I am...I helped push your SVX around 2 wknds. ago) see you folks on sat.... Matt
  18. I 81 to I 80 to I 287 over to I95 to CT. exit 40 and your there.....and it was free. If you went the way I go from where I live the only toll is comming from NJ into pa and it is either 50 cents or $1. If you are comming sat. i will see you up there. Matt
  19. I think you could BUT it would be a long slow trip. If your impreza is as nice as you say it is then I can't say that I would do that.... Isn't the brat driveable? Matt
