  1. Your PM box is full :P

Well re-using fluid that has been run with bad headgaskets doesnt seem like a good idea haha.

I do have a clutch disk that can probably be used for a little while but its definitely not perfect. Guess Ill have to compare clutches haha.

I was just curious I kinda plan to buy the parts over the next few weeks or so and get it ready before I take Ned outta commission for a bit and I want to make sure that Im prepared since I use him to get to/from where I make money so if hes laid up, no money is made kinda deal

  2. A lot of the people us Fel-Pro because it doesnt require a re-torque. GD just posted a head re-surfacing technique. But yes, you need to have them checked and resurfaced if you cant do it yourself. And as for going 10k on BHG... Yup. NED is doing just fine at over 7K on BHG. I just keep the coolant topped up and the oil topped up (I leak a little bit externally on start-up and burn it off while driving)
  3. You should add this to the USRM. I will probably end up doing this for my headgaskets.
  4. You have an EA81 in there right? That motor is bulletproof, whats wrong with it? Give us some symptoms, if that motor is shot, then replace it for $200 or less (plus labor if you dont know how) and put a new top on it and make the rest of us drool.
  5. +1 Seems like youve had an interesting Scoobie past! Hopefully the 2005 keeps going for many years. I love the looks of the 2005s... Mainly a 2005 LGT but hey, its a start!
  6. Hey working on cars has nothing to do with proper grammar or correct spelling. Whats the point in knowing how to spell a part if you dont know what it is Carry on.
  7. Depends. What are you using them on/for? Steel is better for offroading. Alloy may look nicer and be lighter but will crack and bend offroad easier.
  8. Got pics? Im not much of a BMW person but I like lookin at other peoples projects/rides Welcome to USMB... Glad you already know of our little family here, and glad you enjoy it
  9. The ball would be out of the way facing downward. Since it only works when the front of the car is at an upward angle
  10. Do not put an EA82T in your car. Its a waste of money. For the same money you can put an EJ22 in and get 20 more horsepower with no turbo. The EA82T is... junk... to say the least.
  11. NED is part of the family everyone loves him!
  12. The weber probably will help. I can honestly say that hills are NOT a problem for my EA82 with a Weber. GD had it before I did, so I wont take credit for the way that it runs... Ill just brag about it In all seriousness though, the stock hitachi is junk. I had an EA71 in my 1984 DL and that was just... a nightmare. We put an EA81 in there with a weber and it hauled.
  13. Youve got some cleaning to do. You need some Lacquer thinner and some paint brushes/wire brushes. But the nice thing is that its a good motor and youve got some purdy cam towers and valve covers you should paint them though.
  14. If we buy that other motor. Im not cleaning the cam towers again. We can just use the ones youve got. I got dirt on my shorts!?!?! Crap. I already put them in the dryer :/
  15. Usually they run better when you DONT lock the keys in them Just a thought and you're welcome for the head-light, wasnt doing me any good... Except now I gotta go buy a set from the Junkyard so I can practice Turbones projector conversion
  16. You can post pics. Exactly how I did it. Get a photobucket.com account (like you have) Upload your photos (like you have) Resize them if needed (members with small screens prefer 640X480 but 800X600 is fine) Grab the IMG code and paste it into a message screen such as "Reply to Thread" - pretty much the box you write your reply/post in. The code you're looking for will look like this:
  17. +1 I like these old Datsuns. I think they are pretty wicked little rides.
  18. Wow. Thats really interesting actually. Subaru FTW
  19. Be careful living by that light. If it goes out, you may run out of gas and destroy your fuel pump. Not to mention running it that low can cause you to pick up the crud on the bottom of the tank and make your motor run like crap and clog the fuel pump.
  20. Hmm alright, 6207s are the correct bearing, but I cant be sure on those exact ones as Ive never used sealed bearings.
  21. Im assuming you have an EA81 and want to replace it with an EJ22? 1990-1994 Legacy is EJ22 non-interference. A turbo model will be the EJ22T (not what you want) and like GrossGary said, the 1995 is non-interference.
  22. Wheel bearings? Why do you want them sealed? Just grab 6207 bearings and pack them with grease
  23. Heres some from his other post with the link to all the photos.
