  1. Thats pretty awesome I had this kinda idea awhile back, but I was thinking of doing a 2 inch lift and better tires and trying to figure out how to get it to have its own braking system so that it could go "anywhere" Hope to someday see this camped out somewhere!
  2. Thats not a bad idea... Id have to get it cut to size and still look good though :/
  3. I really wanted to put plywood down, like thin plywood with the compartments cut out and hinged so they could open to leave it flat. (of course have it fit "custom" so that it looked like it belonged and then recarpet) *May still do this to my current car* I had a buddy that wrecked his 89 GL wagon (was rear ended by a dump truck) He had sound system stuff back there like youd see on MTV's Pimp My Ride. He also had a 91 Loyale that has one of the sickest gun set-ups in the rear that he uses for hunting. Ive tried to get him on the forum but when his Subaru dies, he just junks it I will try to get some photos of his set up but I doubt it, its a hunting rig and is in storage in WA the rest of the year (6 inch lift, 29s, redrilled 6 lugs, no exhaust, no tags, no windows etc)
  4. Ya know, if you were closer I could help ya but youre a bit far away Can you not see the bumper bolts? It should bolt to the frame somewhere...
  5. In the off topic section, there is one called "the ea82 is a bad engine because..." and you can read up on all the complaints/facts about these motors...
  6. You have a EA82T. :-\ Its a turbo 1.8L motor. Its... ehh... :-\ Im not going to come right out and bash your motor But if you do a search of the EA82T, you will find that most of the community here is not fond of that motor. That is not to say that you wont find people that love it It has overheating problems IF not taken care of properly and with caution. There are many things you can do to soothe the cooling system and make the process easier. For one. Keep track of your fluids. Make sure to check the coolant regularly, seeing if it is low as well as the color. If it starts getting mucky/sludgy you will have a problem. For another. Dont boost it. Keep the boost where its at, dont tinker with it. Another... Keep the cooling system maintained. As I mentioned, watch the fluids. I *THINK* you can get a two-row radiator for these that will help keep them cool. Make sure that doesnt get clogged. If all else fails and this EA82T DOES blow up... Swap in an EJ22 which is well documented on here... The EJ22 makes ~ 20hp more (youre around 115, the EJ22 is at 135) and is a FAR better engine. Hope that helps
  7. +1 that bumper is amazing. Which armorall did you use?
  8. Ive got a brand new donut spare. Not literally brand new, but never run on a vehicle. Clean etc. Shipping from 97006 plus whatever you wanna offer for it. I can send some detailed pics of it if needed.

  9. Ive got a buttload of parts to bring... Okay not really a buttload, but several parts that Ill be bringing if I cant get them sold before (crosses fingers) a 4.111 R160 Open differential 2 Sedan tail lights in 9.0/10 condition 1 driver side EA82 headlight (0 cracks, no dents etc) 4X140 steelies (2) 4X140 spare tire (wont fit in my engine compartment) I have a craigslist ad + its posted in our craigslist section.
  10. Aww hes a big one! Im just like him, I like to eat :D

I have had Ned since November 2010, hes getting repainted, but itll be the same Twilight Blue Metallic that he is now, just a fresh, clean color that I can wax and make it look better.

  11. He is so adorable!

How much does he weigh? He seems like a big boy!

  12. I remove mine off and on, and it doesnt seem to hurt them, so you should be fine, just set them on the wheel and then use a block of wood (no hammers unless you have a rubber mallet) and tap them back into place...
  13. Check all your spark plugs, pull each of them off and put them back on until they click. Then try it, if its not working, then check the distributor and make sure its timed correctly.
  14. If ya break one, Ive got 3 in pretty good condition you can take off my hands. I believe I have them up on craigslist for $15 for the 3? I cant remember haha.
  15. Ned needs some work, hes currently at GeneralDisorder's house awaiting a driver side wheel bearing (passenger side fixed) and both front tie-rods. Then he will have new tires and a fresh alignment and hopefully be set for the Subaru show.

I like Jobie :) it works and through the pictures, he just looks like a Jobie :)

I have no problem helping out, let me know if you need anymore help :)

  16. No problem. :)

    5 am? Yuck :(

The profile picture comes with privelege... Like I have almost 1000 posts, so I have the profile picture and stuff... the avatar is fine for now :)

Subaru is better than anything in my opinion... I love my Subaru.

Ned came from His Oregon License Plate - NED 108

  17. I think people that DONT talk to animals are the insane ones! I talk to just about every animal I encounter. Especially the ones I consider part of my family.
  18. Heres how I would do it:

User CP in the top left of the page

Youll see Edit Profile Picture (if you can)

    Edit Your Details

If not the profile picture, you can scroll through the options on the left, and find the EDIT AVATAR and that will give you the little picture, as you can see, I have the profile picture of me and the avatar of my car, Ned.

  19. Do you mean a profile picture or just inserting pictures in General?

  20. Welcome Since we havent completely been introduced, I have just been helping you get going on here Im 92_Rugby_Subie - AKA Marshall. I own Ned, a 1986 Subaru GL Sedan. I know hes a boy because he is blue, and I have never seen a girl named Ned. Hes got relatively low miles, about 173k. I think Jobie is quite awesome I love the pic of him in goggles! Hope you find what youre looking for. Feel free to leave me a visitor message (until you can Private Message) when youre looking for assistance. As for how the forum works... There is very rarely a question posted here that hasnt been asked before... So I would recommend the search function to save forum space with brand new postings. However, if a posting is old, making a reference to it in a new post and asking questions is better than resurrecting the old thread. Hope this helps!
  21. No problem. Im assuming theyd be easy to read, never had to read one on any of my scoobs though *knock on wood*
