  1. TomRHere is correct, sorry, I was thinking of my EA82 I think, because I swear its up front... Heres the best I can do for a general direction... This is my old EA81... From the front... the left side (when looking AT the engine) is where youll find the dipstick (which might be a little silver or black circular object that has a tube on it if the handle is broken. So itll be on the passenger side of the vehicle as stated... Lets hope this works for ya
  2. Tire size info: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=117919 Oil dipstick: Should be to the right of your distributor IIRC... Like in the front of the engine. As for dual range transmission and passing light. The "Cyclops" eye is really awesome, keep it if you like it its pretty awesome. Dual range is pretty amazing too, probably a 4 speed though... Might wanna have the 5 speed dual range swap if you like the extra gear (its weird for me driving a 4 speed)
  3. Hopefully you will be fine, just dont announce who's it is and dont make it super nice. I wonder how that would work, like if you did a WRX swap into one... Then a guy "wanted" it back... Would they get the upgraded stuff back. I suppose google would be my answer here...
  4. Crud, youre right. Nope, 1975 and newer (I tried to find an old scoob I could put a Weber on for my Dad) SPFI conversion?
  5. What!? Thats the worst idea ever... Seems like this sets up loads of scams... I agree with the headaches part.... But whoa thats dumb!
  6. First things first, do some research on here.. The blue thing in the engine bay... Toss it ( after you read up on a Weber swap and get that going ) The weber gives pretty good performance values, not so much economical, but I see over 25mpg with my weber swap. Doesnt look that bad though look forward to seeing what you wanna do to it. You got a lift/tire size in mind?
  7. I see a Charger I woulda figured itd be the Plum Crazy color. Im not a fan of the new chargers... Id take the Police Package in one though but I do love the new Challengers... The old ones are better though. Nice Leggys!
  8. Pix? (how you upload is the image code on photobucket)
  9. I was gonna say... Search... Define 4X4 stuff. Wheels/Tires? Lifts? Offroad bars? Skid Plates? Read the FAQ as suggested, and use the search button... LOTS of people have lifted brats that are 4x4s and they are pretty rad.
  10. Actually, yea... that would be a great idea... Id be down for it.
  11. I do it in my EA82 as well Since I do have a Weber, and a 2.5" Cherrybomb Guess Im not so much a quiet sleeper, but I do shock people when I pass them easily up hills.
  12. So do you just ask for like 8 gallons (I dont know what the tank is on it)
  13. I probably will only have a caravan of 2 scoobs, my 86 GL (Ned) and my buddys Impreza (Car RamRod) But if I hear of more, I might join in, although I think Im going to go Friday.
  14. Do you remember a time, going down the freeway at 55, windows down in your car, listening to hard rock, when a Honda with a fart can comes by Tbbbbbbbtttttthhhh and flies passed you doing 60 and looks back at you... You think to yourself, hmm I shouldnt do this... but impulse takes over and you floor it, at once you see the gas needle drop, you hear the secondaries open up and sink into your seat as you pass the Honda like it was standing still.. Ahh Honda hunting I miss my Skylark lol. If youve done this then youre okay in my book if not, you should try it... legally of course Good that youre into Scoobs too though, I see no problem with loving Scoobs and muscle cars..
  15. I think it will be just me and my buddy Nick in our convoy unless anyone is coming from the Beaverton side. We probably wont have anything better to do than to be there early to set up camp and stuff... Im kinda choking on this no mud pit thing... I heard it was the best one because of the arena environment and it was kept pretty wet the entire time...?
  16. You did, on my thread, for how to remove over spray off my rear glass I got the over spray off mine thank god.
  17. Mine either. I had over spray on my rear glass, used vinegar/water mix and scrubbed the paint off, then used a dish cloth with dish soap to "re-clean" it and then gave it a good rinse with a power washer... Glass was so clean... til I realized the inside was filthy, now its super clean, no scratches or anything. Make sure to give it a good rinse as the pieces of steel wool can get left in cracks and rust, which Ive heard wont hurt the glass, itll just look s**tty
  18. The chrome is getting spray painted. She doesnt like the look of the black with chrome, its just what came with the car when she bought it.
  19. Usually over heating is caused by: -Bad headgaskets -Bad thermostat -Clogged radiator -No coolant Might wanna post this in the "New Generation" section though... Will get more hits than the older generation
  20. Ditto Bummer about the mud pit though... I hope the trails nearby are stock-Scoob accepting so I can play
  21. Really? I wanna come on some of those... Is there stuff that stock height is possible?
