  1. Yes, its not very cheap though, just a warning, but thatd be no problem if you pay for shipping obviously.

  2. Welcome to the board. Im assuming (not familiar with Leg's) that the Postal Legacy is RHD? Sounds like a real treat. Keep us informed!! I think RHD's are incredible... Youll find any advice youll ever need on this forum, parts and friends come as well!
  3. This might be a mean welcome, but, HAHAHAHA Welcome! I lol'd sooo hard when I read this... Ive been in your spot, bought a 1998 Mitsubishi that was a hunk of crap and went to slow down, locked brakes and rear ended a guy... Oh boy, car part way on curb and part embedded in his bumper all I could do was swear and curse Mitsubishis Hence why Subarus are my car of choice again... But welcome, I look forward to reading your build thread, I will subscribe when I see it!
  4. Welcome! Subaru searching will take awhile and you may have to travel, but once you buy one and it's "yours" you'll never wanna let it go... My 1992 loyale still has my heart but mine went for 250 and it was worth 1400-1750... Welcome though and best of luck, hope to see a purchase thread soon!
  5. Yes, the wheels are still available.. everything is sadly lol.

  6. Yea, I've passed even yotas in the snow... I love it
  7. Personal experience I take it? lol Yea, I had a friend that told me to buy a Toyota truck for 2000, it would be a 1990-1997 that would be in that price range, and I found out quickly, that 2000 will buy me an 85 toyota pickup, so I just bought a Subaru and an XBOX and a nice tv... which I left in the back of my friends van when he rolled it, so at least I have an xbox
  8. Dude. I want your WRX. I shall trade you a 1942 Plymouth Special Deluxe for it. JK JK Get yourself a beater Subaru... something cheap (500 or less) and use it in the winter months and beat the bloody crap out of it... They are amazing in the snow, and the most fun... You wont regret that decision, and if it falls apart after a few years... well buy another... or move yourself and the incredible subies out here where theres no salt... at least I dont think there is... (dont quote me on that )
  9. Welcome to the board! I too, at 18 years old, have owned my fair share of cars, 12 total, and 5 of them Subarus. They last forever though, and each one Ive sold, Ive kept tabs on. The 1985 Subaru DL that I sold had 456k on its second transmission and had headgaskets done twice and apparently has near 700k miles now Very nice Subarus, keep them in good condition and they will do the same for you Youll find all advice you need here, or just cool people that you can call buddies that know their s**t about these cars! *Mentioning GD* whos put up with my nonstop questions
  10. Id heard STI wheels were 15s instead of Legacy 14s, so I might do that, just cuz STI wheels would probably look a little cooler and I wouldnt mind the step up
  11. I hope no damaged is caused cuz sometimes I do redline, especially driving a manual and honda hunting
  12. I sorta dont mind having it hit 3000 rpms constantly etc, because when I need a quick get up and go, I know higher rpms will deliver, but I heard guys that were flooring it til it hit 7000 rpms, like in video games, but I have never taken a car past 5000 rpms and I dont plan on trying since Ive heard it damages the engine.
  13. I wouldnt mind that either especially better gas mileage... I will subscribe and see what info comes up... Perhaps Rick (GD) knows...
  14. Am I lost? I too will have the issue of loud revving on I5 to Salem with my girlfriend... I very rarely travel below 70 (even in the slow lane) and I dont want to hear the engine revving at 3000 rpms for over an hour... Is it possible to change the gear ratios to maybe, just maybe give me 5-10 mph more per gear? Car: 1991 Legacy L Sedan, 5MT, AWD
  15. Not bad, looks exactly like my 1984 GL Wagon same color too. What are your plans for your Subaru? Welcome to the board, you will find useful information (as you already know) but being a member is so much better. Key points - After 10 posts you will have Private Messages, these are great. Keep an eye on your posts or subscribe. Make friends, they will come in handy! Best of luck!
  16. I like that, hehe sleeper cell? Lol. Fix it up, make it look like a granny car and then pounce on the Honda
  17. Really? I know several friends that have them, but then again, they also have semi and train horns so I guess they are just dumb haha.
  18. Then I shall not put any smoked lights on the Subaru I dont wanna attract attention and get a ticket for something so miniscule.
  19. Wheels I want : What they look like (not my car) The smoked taillights: Maybe the exhaust too? Saw these pictures on google, a guy called "Kandyman" does anyone know him to be on a Subaru board?
  20. Thats why I want the cutouts I can be quiet when they are closed. I saw one on Google Images that had smoked tail-lights.... is that illegal? They looked pretty awesome... I will upload pics of the rims I want and the look of the lights that I want.
  21. I have realized it will be expensive. I just want somethings to set my car apart from others.... and the main thing to do (at least at my age) is: - Rims - Exhaust - Sound - Performance - Lights Etc. Since this car only has 130k (and Im anal about maintenance) I imagine that this car should get me another 100k+ miles, and so since Ill have it at least 5 years, I will want a stereo (this one doesnt work) and Ill want an exhaust, rims probably wont happen, I wanna get rid of the ones that were on it and get ones that I know are stock on some Subaru (Finally have 5 lugs which Ive never had) and smoking the lights is another interest... I want something that people will know its me coming, all my Subarus have had distinct sounds, but this one just sounds plain, maybe the muffler on it, I have no idea. I dont want a teeny bopper right at all, no body kits, no huge ricer exhaust (fart can) I just want something that sounds real and looks semi cool.
  22. Thats what I was thinking was a cat-back system with cutouts (so its quiet when I get home, having had a Mitsubishi with a custom exhaust and my mom getting mad when I pulled into the street and made noise)
  23. 1991 Legacy Sedan Ej22 engine What exhaust optins do I have? Can I but an STI muffler on it? I thought about doing cut-outs with an STI exhaust system, but I dont want something that is gonna be an impossible project...
