  1. the intercooler is from Godspeed. i didnt know it when i bought it but thats what it says on it... more pics in the day light. with the air dam on . not super happy how it turned out. but there is not alot to bolt it to up there. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  2. i have only driven it a few miles. i dont think it is going to make it a tone faster. hopefully a little bit. but it will keep it from heat soaking when it sits for more than 30 seconds.
  3. spent a few hours last night and most of today puting this thing in. i am very happy with the way it turned out... fit very nice means how it is for a car that was built 20 years later... runs awesome still. dose not feel like the turbo spools up any slower. and still boost right to 15PSI had to relocate the battery up into the spair tire well but fit nicely with a little triming. the bumper had to be cut almost in half then put back togther so air could get to the intercooler. and yes i know that my licecne plate is blocking air flow also... now all i have to do is get the front air dam on so the intercooler will blend in a little better... what to do next??? -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  4. yeah hood cable is disconnected. i see no since in poping the hood then unlocking it... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  5. Awesome! with a intercooler that big you may need a larger scoop... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  6. well i put some locking hood pins on the subaru today... i like the fact that i can lock my hood. but its an extra step to get it open. what do you think. Cool... or... Rice... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  7. most of the lights and such only get a ground from the 2.2l ECU. the power comes from the car. have you checked that you have power? check fusable links... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  8. the ratio is much better that the part time D/R 3.7 i had in it before the swap... my goal is to find a good 3.9 D/R and put the FTAWD RX transfer case onto the 3.9 trans... that way i have lower final drive and lower low gear... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  9. its all done. i drove it to work today for the first time... stats / new stuff: Legacy EJ22 (compleatly resealed with new headgaskets and T-belt) RX 3.7:1 FTAWD D/R Diff lock 3.7:1 LSD rear diff everything works. even the power steering... i used a Turbo Legacy exhaust manifold and uppipe mated to the exhaust housing from the GL turbo so i could mate it to my custom Turbo exhaust. and without the Y-pipe i have a little more ground clearance (one less thing to rip off) the gearing is so much better with a little more power and the abillity to put it into low gear with out locking the center diff... and i have to show off my new push bumper... just need to attach the skid plate to the bottom of the push bar... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  10. i have the oil light hooked up also, and it never comes on. the gauge is a autogauge manual gauge with the copper tube running out to the pressure sender im a teacher with some time off. i eather do this or get into trouble... a few pics... i know it leaks a little. i didnt put any teflon tape on it. that is fixed now... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  11. yeah just pull out the air ride and put in non-air ride struts. i have everything you need. but im sure you can find it all closer... it would not be worth shipping 4 struts. but if your up this way...(seattle aria) let me know... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  12. anyone know what the oil pressure on a EJ22 should be? i just finisned my swap on my lifted wagon, and off idle the oil pressure is fine (40-60PSI) but at idle it drops down to like 15PSI. is this to low? i just went through the engine all new gaskets up to and including head gaskets... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  13. i dont know if this has been posted ever but man am i empressed. i now have a new goal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRqkrNA7VSI&NR damn thats fast... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  14. one is a fuel in. and the other is the fuel out. that passes the fuel regulator. one from the tank the other back to the tank. -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  15. what do you mean Ignitor? do you mean coil or something in ign. system. i dont think the EA82 has an ignitor like many other import cars. if i know what you need i probably have one you can have for cheep... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  16. any EA82 Turbo Axle should be the same... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  17. if you want power it would be easier and cheeper to buy a EJ20G or K. with a 5 speed. could be found for $2,500 or so. and this will have everything you need for the swap. and will start you out at 240-280HP. as far as the 6Speed good luck. that will cost you $3500 alone... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  18. if i remember right 95 legacys are OBDII, interferance. not a good idea. you will need to find a 89-94 EJ22... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  19. you would have to somhow over ride the automatic lowering when you hit 60mph. that would be very bad if your car was as low as you say you want it... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  20. sounds like a stupid argument... but no matter what you do to it, it will still be an RX. rather than arguing about it why dont you just keep your Subaru AWD and prove to him that it is better... so what if he can "Drift" around a corner like a ricer. you can still kick his but. whatever you do dont neuter it by cutting off its turbo. -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  21. i dont think there is any differance. i have had all 4 of mine off when i drilled them to 6 lug. and could see no differance. didnt pay any attention to it when i put them back on. -=Suberdave=- www.subedave.com
  22. i used a metal carbide cutting bit. not a stone... -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  23. you need to get a 255lph welbro fuel pump. i wouldnt even run the stock EJ20G on the EA82t fuel pump. i have done 2 EJ20G swaps and ran 255lph welbro's on both... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
  24. that engine was only rated at 240hp by subaru at the crank. but i think that is a little low. and the stock EA82 is rated at 115hp at the crank. so thats over twice the stock HP rateing... -=Suberdave=- www.suberdave.com
