  1. i have hard that the GL-10 wagon rear sway bar is the largest sway bar ever put on an EA82, even larger than the XT6... anyone know for sure? -=Suberdave=-
  2. correct. with out it. the ECM goes into limp mode and sets a VSS code 33. and will not go into boost with out cutting fuel. and yes the 87 and later ea82 VSS will work. -=Suberdave=-
  3. try sending a PM to Qman, he put a WRX wheel on i beleave it was his brat. it could be a defferent car. but he would know. -=Suberdave=-
  4. as long as they are both 5sp's yes they are. if i remember correctly. the manuals are all the same and the autos are the same. -=Suberdave=-
  5. i beleave that was in the land of oz. some of there early EJ's came with the dist. hole in the left side head. but none of the US EJ's did. if i remember correctly -=Suberdave=-
  6. you can keep the shift handel with the EJ trans. but the EA trans dosnt hardly hold the power of an EA engine. wouldnt even try it, get an EJ trans and diff. the drive shaft will have to be shortaned. and the rear axels will have to be modded. but not hard to do. -=Suberdave=- http://www.suberdave.com
  7. well got through my first full tank of gas. and im getting 19MPG and trust me i have not been takeing it lightly on the good ol' go pedal... thats not to bad. i have almost 500 miles on it now. and no problems. -=Suberdave=-
  8. adjust those 2 bolts up. and you can get 1-1.5 inches out of the front -=Suberdave=-
  9. yep it will need it. but the VSS from a 87 or later EA82 will work. i had to do this on my 96 EJ20G into 88 Wagon body. works fine. put close to 500 miles on it with no problem. -=Suberdave=- P.S. if you have any Q's send me a PM
  10. if your using a 87 or later EA-82 they have a speed sensor in the speedo unit. i used the speed signal to feed my ECU on my EJ20G swap, and it works awesome. -=Suberdave=-
  11. if i remember correctly it is behind the bumper on the pass side. right next to the horn and left turn sig. dark blue/black 3/8" diamater about 1 1/2" long. -=Suberdave=-
  12. nice, i like that. let us know how it works out in say 1000 or 5000 miles... -=Suberdave=-
  13. bought 2, got them next day, of corse i live in washington. so UPS shipps everything in state next day... -=Suberdave=-
  14. i have the same problem, i put WRX stuff up front with XT6 lower control arms. when i put the XT6 front bar on, it is a very tight fit. but i did get it to go on. but it rubbes the control arms a bit when going over bumps. if you shed some light on this i would like to know, as for now i will just deal with it... -=Suberdave=-
  15. when i did mine i used the XT6 control arm. mainly do to the fact that the ball joint is larger on the XT6. and yes the XT6 has a 25 spline shaft, so it will work with any Turbo trany. or EJ converson. P.S. you can use EJ front stuff with the XT6 lower arms (due to ball joint size) but then you will have to tackle the rear E-brake. -=Suberdave=-
  16. i used a welbro 255lph fuel pump on my EJ20G converson, it works awesome and its a little cheeper than the pirce you posted here is a new one on Ebay, same guy i bought mine from. $120.00 free 2nd day S/H http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WALBRO-255-LPH-GSL-392-INLINE-FUEL-PUMP-KIT-EXTERNAL_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33555QQitemZ8035176464QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW -=Suberdave=-
  17. yeah didnt change the instrument cluster or starter when i did mine eather. both work fine. -=Suberdave=-
  18. plus: pedal box spedo and clutch cables clutch kit drive line center consol depending on the trans of choice vacuume solonoide for push button -=Suberdave=-
  19. thats what happens when GM gets there fingers in the mix. luckly for us and the rest of the world GM no longer owns any part of Subaru. -=Suberdave=-
  20. i used JDM WRX stuff in the front. (strut, knuckle, hub, ball joint, tie rod end, much larger rotor, dual pot caliper) but had to use the XT6 lower control arm. and XT6 stuff in the rear. now i have to do a rear E-brake converson in the rear. but it stops much better with the larger brakes. -=Suberdave=-
  21. here are some pics of my sleeper. it has a hood scoop and nice wheels. but its still a sleeper: 1988 GL-10 with 96 JDM SIT powertrain. www.suberdave.com/subaru/glwrxt -=Suberdave=-
