here is what my system looked like before i sold it, it rocked put the amps on the back of the seat even if its not a wagon it will stillwork. just use a nice pair of 2 or 3 way comp. speakers, put them in the door in place of the stock ones, with the stock grills on them. (that way no one can see them). and never play music loud near your stoping point, cuse even if you cant see it, if people hear it and know where you live, by-by stereo. -
we were on our way home, going up a large hill i had it in 4th gear about 1/2 throtle. when we got to the top of the hill... my wife said "do you smell that it smells like pancakes." "smells like IHOP" i said no i smells like burning coolant, I was able to make it to a lighted parking lot before i got even close to the RED. the coolant line from the throtle body to the heater hose pipe, blew out like an M80 went off inside it. i was able to monkey rig it and get home. but now my new subaru has a Name "IHOP" -=SUBERDAVE=- www.suberdave.com

here is how i did my IC, it is out of a WRX. i think it is the best option. it is mounted to the body, i did have the hose from the pressure side of the turbo to the intercooler blow off a few times till i got it tight enough, but it has been working for 3 months now with no problem at 11Psi. click for larger pic -=suberdave=-

oddcomp here is what www.alldatapro.com says, for a 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX F4-1994cc 2.0L DOHC Turbo MFI crankshaft sensor The crankshaft position sensor is installed on the oil pump which is located in the front center portion of the cylinder block. The sensor generates a pulse when one of the teeth on the perimeter of the crankshaft sprocket (rotating together with the crankshaft) passes in front of it. The ECM determines the crankshaft angular position by counting the number of pulses. The crankshaft position sensor is a molded type which consists of a magnet, core, coil, terminals and other components as illustrated. As the crankshaft rotates, each tooth aligns with the crankshaft position sensor. At that time, the magnetic flux in the sensor's coil changes since the air gap between the sensor pickup and the sprocket changes. This change in magnetic flux induces a voltage pulse in the sensor and the pulse is transmitted to the ECM. camshaft sensor The camshaft position sensor is located on the left-hand camshaft support. This sensor detects the combustion cylinder at any given moment. The sensor generates a pulse when one of the bosses on the back of the left-hand camshaft drive sprocket passes in front of the sensor. The ECM determines the camshaft angular position by counting the number of pulses. Internal construction and the basic operating principle of the camshaft position sensor are similar to those of the crankshaft position sensor. Two bosses are provided on the sprocket as shown. sorry i dont know how many teeth. -=suberdave=-

suberdave replied to WagonBoy's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
looks like a good deal to me. even if it is juat a WRX and not Sti, let me know if you are not going to do it, i will drive down there and get it for $500.00. thats like steeling it. but seems like wagonboy has not posted any replys sence his first post, maybe he was mistaken. o-well someone will get hooked up -=suberdave=- -
just pull your IGN or FUEL fuse, wont start and most car stealers, wont take the time to try to get it to start, -=suberdave=-

i just got an engine from forgien engines, you know 50K engine from japain. this was on there, looks like a stock part to me... what do you think? looks like i need a larger hood scoop??? -=suberdave=-
-
here is a pic of the two, you can see the front one has an o2 sensor in it, the engine that this came off of was sent here from japan. also if you look (i know its hard on the computer) the outlet to the turbo is larger, the NA o2 one is 1 3/8 and the O2 one is 1 5/8. a 1/4 inch is a lot when its that size. -=suberdave=-

you need one, just put one in the trash about 5 mins ago, i have three, you pay shipping and its yours. -=suberdave=- email me david@suberdave.com

i had the same prob with my ea-82t, when i opened up the intake between the IC and the TB, i thought more air more power... wrong, 2.5 inch chrome pipe did not do the trick. i hit fuel cut at about 5psi at 3500rpm in 2nd gear, 1st worked fine. i 86ed the 2.5 inch chrome intake and went with a 1.5 inch intake, now works awesome. think about it i am running 11psi boost, right, you dont need more air volume. you have the turbo pushing it into the cyl. as long as there is pressure on top of the valve, thats all the engine cares about. when you hit fuel cut the turbo never looses boost, the fuel gauge dose not drop or spike (trust me i had a gauge taped to my wendsheld driving down the highway), and i put a noide light on the injector and ran it into the car, never went out. just my two cents after long time messing with it, hope it helps some... -=suberdave=-

last year i got a engine form one of those 50K forgen engine places, you know right hand drive and all, the up pipe on that one had the same O2 port, i wonder if it is for JDM only? just my 2 cents -=suberdave=-

i think that should be it... you will also need to know if it is turbo, carb, mpfi, spfi. i think that is it. -=suberdave=-

EA82T Tuning Genius's - Lets fix this problem
suberdave replied to Subarutex's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
ok glad to hear im not the only one whth the fuel cut prob... Background. i have an 88 gl turbo wagon, wrx intercooler, stock trubo, at 11psi boost. before i had 1.5 inch PVC pipe between the IC and the Throtle body, everything worked fine, never cut fuel. last week i installed some mandrual bent 2 inch chrome pipe and moved the MAF sensor about 6 inches out from where it was. now i hit fuel cut at like 5psi boost in 2nd and 3rd gear. is it possable to have to good of air flow after the turbo? like it is flowing all kinds of air, but not really pressurizing anything? also what is the effect of moving the MAF? is there going to be some lag? is the MAF calculated for the proper distance from the intake? just some thoughts. maybe this will help, and comments will deffently help me. -=suberdave=- -
this has got to be the coolest brat i have ever seen... i need to do that to my wagon. its getting there, but you know, one piece at a time... -=suberdave=-

Well, I spent 5 hours today....
suberdave replied to WJM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
good luck, my pugs rub in the back if i hit a speed bump or anything like that, and they have 205 / 60 R15's. i know some 50's would be nice, but if lowered i think they would still rub. i think you would be better off if you did a 6 lug and some old mazda or nissan wheels. just my oppinion. but it deffantly looks killer, if you dont mind i will be copying you on some things. hopefully you can give me some advice when iget there. -=suberdave=- -

looks good... now you just need some larger wheels, maybe 15's. on a subaru they would look like 18's. and some low pro tires -=suberdave=- -
Hey, Intercoolers really work!
suberdave replied to WJM's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
WJM, what did you do about fuel cut, i am running just about the same setup on my 88 gl wagon. wrx intercooler and all. i just went on a test drive tonight after getting it set up. no i hit fuel cut at like 5psi boost, in 3rd gear. i realy want to fix it. let me know if you have the same prob... thanks -=suberdave=- -
looks like you need to hit the boat store and buy a bulge pump. -=suberdave=-
