Master Cylinder rebuild kit??
suberdave replied to Skunk#1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
looks like you can get a remanufactured master cylinder from an auto parts store for about $40-45. no one rebuilds master cylinders any more. good luck finding a rebuild kit for most of them. -

R160's are on everything from late 70's EA81s to brand new WRXs R180's are only on 6 speed STI's and very few JDM 5 speed STi the R160 has a 160mm ring gear and the R180 has a stronger 180mm ring gear.
-
After having a 6Speed in my car for over a year, and the matching R180 sitting on the shelf in my grage, i finaly got the parts i needed to Hybrid my axles to install it in my car... The same parts that i had made will work to mate WRX shafts to 05+ STi inner joints so you can install a R180 diff and keep your R160 hubs. PM me in interested in more information.

the inspiration was my own car. here is another pic that i took... more pictures on my web sight... http://www.suberdave.com

So i have had my car for 5 years now, I have washed it maybe 15 times. And never waxed. The weather has been nice, atleast we havent had rain for the better part of a week... So i got some time and did a good wash and wax on my car. Yesterday i went to the store. bought some goodies: Turtle Wax Ice car wash Turtle Wax Ice clay bar kit Turtle Wax Ice liquid wax New again stuff for the black and here is the results: Ill take it out and get some better pictures when the light is better tomorrow... Now that i washed it.... look out for rain!!!

well in a car that is not lifted you have to cut and shorten the EJ linkage about an inch. both sections. with your car being lifted. you may not have to do anything. the extra inch may help. then you just have to find a way to hold up the back of the shifter linkage. i have done it two ways. i have used the EJ bushing and bolted it to the trans tunnle. or i have used the EA bushing and adapted it to the linkage.

4WD Fuel tank removal with Diff intact?
suberdave replied to losingalltouch's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Just pull the diff. it takes like 15 mins and 4 tools 10mm for the drive shaft 17mm for the front diff hanger 19mm for the mustash bar punch and hammer for the axles... is there a reason you dont want to pull the rear diff? -
81 brat project with pics

hey that looks just like my garage... -
Im pretty sure thats not a MAP sensor. (manifold absolute pressure sensor) But a BARO sensor. (barometric pressure sensor) A map would have to have a vacuum hose coming from the manifold and plugged into the ECU. I have never seen a stock subaru with a vacuum line, however i have seen them with a hole that looks like a BARO sensor.
