  1. So funny story: I wrote that before I read your comment on my page :P Do you have pix of said "buggy"?

  2. Hello! You friend requested me. lovely to make your aquaintence. :) we've got a few nuts on board here. (10 pts for double pun) :D anyway if your in my neck of the web don't be a stranger!

  3. Ohhhh I love Stevenson! Ok well.... the Gorge.. Hope I can make it this year!
  4. Love this thread!!! I don't remember how many miles my little 96 Lego sedan had... on her 3rd day in my possession I rolled and totaled her! oops... My 98 LegoWago read 229xxx when i sold it but when i bought it more than a year previously it read that too... speedo sensor was bad and i never could find one cheap... prev owners figured it had aprox 240k when i bought it and i put a few miles on it so i figure it prob had 260-265k when the timing finally went and it bent a valve, i sold it to a dear soul who could give it life again. I'm currently car-less... but when I get my next Subie i'll update!
  5. So I looked at the bottom of the homepage to see how many people were up late like me... and I saw you. In the world - theres 5 people online right now... and I know one of em. lol.

  6. Let's correct this... he doesn't photograph EVER. Frankly my jaw hit the floor when I saw that not only did he post a picture on here.. but it was ACTUALLY TWITCH!!! XD Love ya man!
  7. Already then... I rechecked the code and i was mistaken.. its a sensor 1. Im looking at my haynes and i just want to be sure... it says that speed sensor 1 is on the back of the transfer case. any reason it wouldnt be? and passenger or driver side... or directly on back?
  8. So my car is throwing a speed sensor 2 CEL. I've done reading and havent found what i need. my car rev limits at 4 k only 1/2 the time, my speedo and my odo dont work unless i hit a nasty pothole and they only work for about 10 mi, but other than that i have no problems. I went to pull speedo2 off another car and the wiring goes completely into the harness without any clips. Ive tried to find what a new one would include but i cant find any. So my question is this.. should i just cut the wires between the sensor and the harness and splice the wires? or is there something i'm missing? i just dont want to screw something up by cutting it if theres an easier way to remove it.
  9. HOLYSEZWHOAH! That looks pretty spiffy man! My little green monster is growin!
  10. Ok so it's actually previous owners driving it down, therefore we dont know exactly how long it's been going on. They havent driven it much since they bought a new outback. Also, the spedo&odo cable needs replacing - therefore we have no clue the exact miles on the thing. The car was a steal either way so we're not complaining. Just needing to know what to do. Should I reccomend they try to tighten it before they leave? Thanks Crys
  11. Ok so I just bought a 98 lego today and I noticed the very same thing. :mad:Obviously more will have to be done and looked into but from what I'm reading, the car shouldnt be driven at all. In order for me to get it home (which I'm doing tuesday) I'd have to drive it a good 50 miles. Is this something we should take care of before we leave town or do you think it would survive the trip? Thanks Crys
  12. TEACH ME YOUR WAYS! LOL Twitch and I are going to restore a BRAT.
  13. I feel it would be fair to leave a message saying hello at this point. Seeings as how we've met now. =]

  14. haha. no no. I was still in the car, but the car was not running. Right when we flipped the first thing I said was "what do I do"? They both immediately said "SHUT THE CAR OFF!" I said... "uh. ok." Then they fumbled out of the car, twitch with phone in hand, calling 911. They came back to the car every minute or two asking if I was ok. I didn't have much of an answer. I had just flipped a $3k gift that I'd had less than a week. I think once my brain remembered how to tell my fingers to move, that's when I got out. ~Crys
  15. And that was before I knew crap about cars so.. I had nothing to do w/the filter. lol. Yeah Twitch called 911 while I was still upsidedown. In fact I didnt leave the car for a good 5 mins. I was so shocked I didn't even shut off the car till he told me to. I'd have been lost without him.. still would be. Yes I got a ticket. Actually the cop was extremely nice and understanding. He didn't give me a ticket at first. Refused to. But, his supervisor saw the pictures and made him come to my house a week later and give me a ticket. I had it essentially dismissed. lol.
  16. I still get super tense on gravel and corners near ditches. I go slow and don't like to drive with other people in my car. You could definitely say it scared the adventure out of my blood. If we had been on any other stretch of that road.. well.. we won't go there. It's sobering when you realize just how quickly you can loose the ones you love because of your own carelessness. I had 3 lives solely in my hands that day. Now I know what it means to have respect for life. But I wish that lesson upon no one. ~Crys
  17. THE WRECK:eek: THE WRECK-EES:eek: (Twitch is on far left. I'm on far right.) You see those skid marks??? yeah... my bad. THE CAR:eek:
  18. Sounds pretty sick my man! And those photos look frighteningly like my wreck.. lol I'll post those pix next time I'm on our other computer. No pix on this one. =[

The whole story's there. And thanks for the warm welcome.

  20. Great Ideas - I look forward to seeing PICTURES of this masterpiece at hand
  21. Yes indeedy - so in reply to bheinen74... That's my legacy in my avatar. And yes, she's on her top. I killed her. =[ Twitch de la Brat was in there too!!! We lived though. But back to the post... Yes it's a TON of cars to count. I don't always keep track, but I thought it would be fun. number 100 was a green gen2 forester! And I'd say probably 75% of them were mid-late 90's outbacks, most of which caught my eye because of their uniquely Subaru roof carriers.
