Oil by it self has a high flash point. It's vapor that really catches fire. Just dripping on the exhaust shouldn't be a problem other than dealing with the smell. I think most subie owner get used to the older our cars get until we start replacing gaskets.

It wasn't loose, but since I had access to the front passenger side that was leaking I RTV'ed it with the same stuff I put on the oil pan gasket. It won't be coming off any time soon after that! Still not what the problem is because the hose would have caused water to leak more down the front windshield if it was the front hose and not out the passenger grab handle which is more towards the front middle.

Some have thought it was leaking from the front top windshield so I sprayed the foam window cleaner on it and used compressed air from the air compressor and moved all along the outside gasket and if didn't cause any of the foam to move. I did RTV the drain hose to the end of the plastic piece in the sun roof for the passenger drain side. Could it be the door trim molding just above the passenger window? Guess I'll be waiting a couple week till it rains to see if this fixes it???

I have a 1999 Legacy L 4dr sedan. It has a sunroof and I have cleaned out the drain holes so that isn't/shouldn't be the problem. It has leaked twice now all over the passenger seat. Water appears to be dripping from the passenger grab handle on the roof and drips all over the passenger seat. Nothing else is wet. Headliner appears good with no water marks anywhere from what I can tell without pulling it off. I have used a garden hose and can't get it to leak. It has only happened 2 times in the last couple of months and it rained really really hard those times. Any ideas or things I can try. It's a used car so we can start anywhere. The rear main seal and oil separator plate have been replace by me so that tells you I'm up for just about anything! Those don't leak so when I find this problem it won't leak either.
