Looks like my 85 wagon will die soon My distributor is almost completely gone.. It's still running, barely, and the tach is jumping from 2k rpm to 6k rpm. And since I am unemployed it means that I cant afford to fix it.. so I guess I'm gonna be out of a car. The local junkyard here doesn't have any distributors either. If anyone has a spare distributor, PM me and I'll see if I can make it worth your while.. Or! I'll trade my EA82 that has less then 50k on it for a EA81 Webber not included

Not yet, but I'm getting exited! making arrangements to get it done next weekend. That and lift it a bit!
-
Those alloy wheels are my favorite style.. really light and can be cleaned up real easy.. get the etching wheel cleaner, its super potent and make sure to follow the instructions.. but it'll make them blindingly white
-
All my hoses were less then 2 months old. I replaced them all when I rebuilt the car. Just bad luck and a crappy thermostat.
-
You guys are lucky far as your Subarus not being affected.. I got way up into the red area really quickly when a coolant line blew out. normally the cars running on the warm side, but hasn't given me any trouble. Didn't notice the temp gauge going up till it was already spiked! >__< I replaced the line and filled it up with water for the time being, hopefully my heads dident warp.

Did you find the missing studs for the shackles one eye?
-
Yeah, I really am convinced to weld that thing up! Only took one full tank of gas to get to Bellingham and back this weekend, so getting up there isn't as bad as I thought. (400 miles on a tank baby!) Things I need to do now are: Weld the diff. Lift it Fix the exaust, it's really bad Hopefully I can get all that done next time I'm up there.
-
Man, I had a blast! cant wait for EC. Can I get the contact info of the dude who can help me get my Diff welded up? It's hard remembering evryones names, lol.
-
I'm on my way, someone call me whenever they can.. 206 218 3254 to make sure I'm not lost lol.
-
Anyone willing to donate a little bit to help get me there? I can bring lots of snacks! plus some of my plans kinda got thrown down the drain and I REALLY want to blow off some steam. I just know I wouldn't be able to make it there AND back home.. only have $20 on me. lol

Well, turns out I'm not coming to pick up the parts.. Subarule is.. or her sister.. I just hope that next time Subarule would have told me this before I made plans, instead of waiting till I was all packed up and ready to go. :-\ *sigh* -
Anyone think this is crazy?

Dang, $400 for a LSD? Maybe I'll make my own LSD I know of a place that has hundreds of differentials. not sure how many Subaru ones.. But they had alot of Mazda LSD rearends.. Which are kinda rare, I might fabricate the clutch packs into the Subaru one. lol. -

There's a mountain by my house with lots of logging roads, quite a few trails that I have no idea where they go, some look like pretty neat. The road has been worked on recently.. so even a 2wd car can make it up the mountain. I want to do some durability tests before I take it to Evans Creek and romp on it.. Hopefully someone else that's local here might want to test their rig up too. I was thinking this weekend (today or tomorrow) or next weekend. (1st or 2nd) or both! Doesn't really matter, but would like to go Wheeling with someone else incase I get stuck lol. The place is 20 miles east of exit 71 off I-5 Let me know if anyone's interested. I'll fire up my BBQ and well have some burgers and beer

Me and a friend went off-roading today, to really test out the drivetrain and tires for Evans Creak.. here's the result: Sizing up the ramp. And.. here we go! VROOM! *insert dukes of hazard horn* kuhthunk! Vroom Vroom! off I go. no damage at all.. not even a scratch on the oil pan

Well, same situation again, got tabs and a plate.. But it ended up costing me $80 so.. gas aint happening unless someone wants to pitch in.. lol.
