I got a 1993 subaru impreza (1.8l engine) the other day I took my car on a rocky gravel road and when I was done I notice a knocking noise comming from the engine I was thinking it was a rocker arm loose but after playin with it I notices it only makes a noise when the throttle is open wide its completely quiet if the throttle is closed no matter what the engine speed is at could it still be a rocker arm or something else?

yah Ive "swam" my 93 impreza a few times with water goin over the hood one time on a "no service" gravel road in South Dakota I hit the water to fast and hydroplaned into some tall grass on the side was quite fun but was afraid to keep driving forward in the tall grass (tall grass with a foot of water in it) didnt think i could do it so I put it in reverse and when I got back on the gravel the grass ripped my bumper off

Any Extreme off-road Subies out there?
Dazed Dreamer replied to Scott in Bellingham's topic in Off Road
like cut off the rear end after the wheels right? cause shortening it before the wheels would make it easier to flip backwards on a hill Just makin sure I know what you mean -

Ok i know of a place for a potential meet i take my preza there all the time and a bunch of poeple take their Jeeps, Tacomas and such there all the time its by the buckley base right off of mississippi and buckley if you head east from the intersection and make your first left it will take you to a "dead end" theres some mild hills there to do a couple sessions on and since its just a meeting place we can go somewhere afterwards but what do you guys think? PM me if its a go

I always thought it went something like EJ22T, EJ20T or EJ25T but somone today told me I was wrong he said "No disrespect Dazed but ther is no such thing as an EJ20T or EJ25T or EJ22T. The closed deck block in the early STi's was an EJ20G, usdm turbo leggy, and 22b was EJ22G, the usdm STi is EJ257, the us WRX is EJ205 & 7, actually the 06 WRX's will have the EJ257 in them now so no more 2.0l WRX's in the US."
