Yea I cut about 3" on my hatch to run 27's on stock height... 2 1/2 with a 4" on an ea81 wagon should be plenty of room for those babies to breathe..... O and she wheels like a champ jeff, props on the lift....
-
Na your Clutch can handle 29's... There's a bunch of guys runnin 30's out there with not to many clutch problems... Just make sure your not slipping it though or it will go out faster than you blink....

I have fit 27's comfortably under a stock height 86 hatch with some fender cutting... If I am runnin a 4 inch on a 84 wag id cut the fenders a little bit and run 29's... You get most of your ground clearance from bigger tires and if your going to try to be keeping up with jeeps that's what i would do... the price difference is next to nothing from 27's to 29's.... I run 30's on a 88 with a 2 inch and cut fenders and it works like a charm....

Yea lots of snow... I woke up at 5:30 each morning to shovel that ************ off my chair lift at mt. Rose. We need a Nevada meet sometime, though my hatch got towed away forever by my apartment complex. ************ heads. -

Yea any subaru is all good I would imagine... I don't even own one as of last night... (apartment complex towed my hatch away, and I sold my blue ea82) but hopefully I'll have a nice crispy new ea81 to show off:) -

Nice 4runner! I had an 85' 22re... Looks like an awesome time. -
I am debating lifting it to fit 14s, but that won't happen until It has been restored. You can fit 14's on without lifting her up:) I've fit 14's with 27's on there with a little cutting.

HI! New to the forum

If your looking for Peugeot rims try any local junk yard first... They are the only other rim with the same 4 lug patter, almost all bolt right straight on... They will come off of a 505... Stock vintage Subaru rims are almost all in this country 13's and the pugs are 14's or 15's alloy or steel, really adds to the bigger tire selection. If your looking for lifts search the vendor fourm... There are several guys out there making lifts and you can choose from there! I'm pretty new to the fourm too.. And just letting you know these Subaru's are horribly addicting! Lift her and beat her to hell!!! -Sam -

I have seen the same exact one in south shore... I want to meet this guy too! -
Yea trust me here... I've had two 85' four runner 22re's both welded spider gears with 35's and 33's... And an 82 22r... The straight axle game gets old and pricy after a while... I'm probablly one of the few on the board who has been threw the rubicon more than three times... And that's where all of your money is going I have none now cuz of it!
-
Ha ha yea thanks to you... Eventhough I have not met you.. I'm sure I'll meet you on the trail sometime when your not paying so much money to the state of California... Or your landlord... Whichever you decide on
