  1. Probationary till 21? you musta f'd up eh? haha. please do us all a favor and keep you rump roast clean! gotta be at the right place at the right time and move quick on them old soobs i guess.
  2. LOL, i dont think you'd lose your license over it, just a fine for improper registration, drill out the vin's and attach magnets to the back and swap them back and forth! i know he's travelled around the state and the midwest (michigan, indiana etc) for them. he seems to be in the right place at the right time. Mad craigslist skillz!
  3. but if you see a deal too good to pass up.. might just have to go for it, if its an old one.. just swap plates with your wagon when you wanna drive it, they'll see subaru and that its a wagon and you'll be good, just dont get in an accident! lol..
  4. will your dad insure one for ya? im guessing no because its all part of the 'growin' up thing. when i did my water pump on our outback, i did the rtv, i would say if you have some around you might as well do it, just takes an extra couple o minutes.
  5. dont sweat man, your car is sweet, when i was your age i had a 89 Olds cutlass ciera. it wasnt sweet. not one bit! 6-10 inches tomorrow! too bad you dont have that pump fixed yet!
  6. i have my own place and a secure job... i cant have more than 1 well... i guess i do have 2 but ones my wifes and i gotz billz 2 pay y0
  7. Wouldnt 96-99 have just about the same manual? if so.. have you tried searching for a 96-98?
  8. i washed my car today. one of the windows nearly was frozen shut by the time i got home. haha!
  9. 66 @ 2500? is that accurate? Wouldnt your speedo be off with the tire size difference. or do the subaru speed sensors work differently? http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html (need Java) not saying you are full of ************ or anything, just wondering. i cant wait till its warmer out and we get the 'summer' gas back so i can get a real take on my mileage now with the 5spd d/r in it. so far its still getting like 22.5mpg as before with the 3at. :-\ but then again, dumpin the clutch in 4wd in the snow probably doesnt help at all
  10. holy crap thats clean!
  11. thats true, the only delay in the printing is when the page is flipped over, so now that i think about it, its probably like 3x for double sided when you include the turnover.
  12. fortunately i did them 2 sided, or it would probably be about 40% bigger!! the whole room stunk of toner after about 3 hours of printing constantly. Luckily no one needed the copier/printer, 2 sided printing takes 2x as long. booo. yeah a dealer havin all cars/models books like that would suck!
  13. I got annoyed by all those separate files, and for whatever reason the password didnt work so i couldnt merge them all. soi printed the thing out at work. not realizing some of the files were 500 pages long! I ended up with this! still need to create an index page for each section but you get the idea.
  14. in my case, going from 3at to 5sp D/r, no, it was just for the reverse lights that had to be wired up. and that isnt really THAT necessary but its safe to have them working
  15. i was thinking of putting a relay in with the reverse lights and triggering the dash light separately using the indicator light ground. if its paralleled with the switch, that should trip the coil and connect the circuit for the indicator. 'SOUNDS' like it would work. LOL.
  16. yeah, i've already got the neutral switch bypassed via the automatic gear selector unit/connector, i think i might have used the wires on the opposite side of the 6pin plug but im pretty sure they were the gw/g ones. i'll have to lift the car up to check. Looks like you have it wired up so the reverse indicator light on the dash lights up when you go in reverse eh? I was gonna do that too. i guess its not that cool and unique of an idea afterall. haha. i didnt cut out the connector from the donor car for the swap, we wanted to leave the wiring harness in tact so that MilesFox could use it in a future project. I saw your sarcasm was directed at the other guy... so i chuckled. teehee.
  17. if you could snap a pic that'd be great. btw... i enjoyed the spoon feeding above. LOL.
  18. yeah,i kinda went off of the diagram posted in your other thread and i hooked the gw/g wires (from the 6pin) up to the switch. and that seems to be the neutral switch. hmmm. i hate winter (well.. not really!), once i dry out the garage floor and bottom of the car i'll have to crawl under it and see whats up. i disconnected it for the mean time, oh well. reverse lights are overrated!
  19. So, on the dual range 5spd (from an '89) there are 2 connectors on it, one is a 6 pin and the other is a 2 pin. I was trying to get my reverse lights working and thought i had the correct pins spliced together, HOWEVER the reverse lights come on whenever i am in gear, any gear! anyone have the pinouts for the connections handy? (i searched to no avail)
  20. ah, well ya never said it had an ej22... so it aint all THAT bad!
  21. hah, i WAS gonna comment that the "something missing" was referring to the speed and the banner should say I NEED SPEED rather than NEED FOR SPEED. hehe. but i held back, until now i guess.
