  1. Hi Guys, when im driving my 92 omgea (New Zealand ea82) the steering wheel feels a tiny bit loose and free, i can turn it both ways about 1cm or so without it moving the tyres. Any ideas? It hasn't always been like this. Cheers, Tom.
  2. hey man, yeah sure is - not alot of suby wheelers (4x4) around. Bring on the winter cant wait for the snowy roads lol

  3. mines been ticking for 40,000km now - it has good days or weeks, then not so good ones. Have not noticed any damage to engine or performance. Regular servicing does help. Tom.
  4. oh ok, interesting. guess its a fine line between praticality and not looking like a knob boy racer. Sweet as - I drove a ej22 the other week but in a legacy - it would go awesome in the leone, will certianly have see your progress!
  5. Thanks very much man, just what I needed to hear. Was thinking of doing the dash swap but aparently its a hell of a job. Like the size of yours- dont want a big one with a dam shift light etc lol
  6. hey sorry to hijack, but how did you hook up your rev/tach counter? my one doesnt have one, and always wanted to put one in. Did you buy the unit here in NZ? Tom.
  7. hey all, my 92 omega/loyale/leone is a New Zealand new model, and just has a speedo on the dash - no rev counter. Was thinking of finding different dash with a rev counter out of a wrecked suby, my question is do you plumb it into the gearbox or where? will mine even have a place for it? Dont really want a bling bling aftermarket one. Tom.
  8. Front door ones, and boxed speekers in the boot work well in my 92 GL wag.
  9. "Your subaru uses a cartridge type filter, so it is unnecessary to clean the filter" Going to go down to repco tomorrow and see if they stock them.
  10. Hi all. My repair manual for my ea82 says that the fuell filter never needs replacing as it is a self cleaning type one. Do people still replace them? I think it would be a good idea, after cleaning itself for 20 years. Can you buy them? Poor fuell economy and power (limited i know) may be somewhat due to this I would have thought. Cheers.
  11. cheers for the welcomes I live in Dunedin which is down the bottom of the south island. This is a cool site - lots of helpfull info by the looks of it. Thomas.
  12. Hi all, newbie to this forum! Ive got a 1992 Subaru Omega (same as Leone). Shes NZ new, factory roof racks, air con, and no electrics! 5 Speed with the Hi-low 4x4 box in it. Its got 180km on it now, had it since 140. Its go the famous lifter tick - have tried a few additives here in NZ with no success. The old man has had one of these before and also a newer legacy. Go the old suby! Cheers, Thomas.
