For those who were at Carlisle

too bad... just picked up a '95 sedan with NO rust for my brother's girlfriend for $500. if they didn't need it I'd pull the engine and trans as a donor for the legacy and sell you the shell on the cheap...... but they need a car, so I'll just keep my eyes open -
A, but with a little darker tint and no whitewalls

The Quest for rear E-brake...
operose replied to PoorManzImpreza's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
once I get my new tires mounted on the rims, and the rims on the car I'll start buying brake parts... found a good place to get some stainless brake lines as well, but I'm going to hold off on this until after I've screwed around with the calipers -

4pot front 2pot rear? any ideas on what that'll do to brake bias? like I said before... proportioning valves? I guess there's only one way to find out <edit for reference:> http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=623187 ^^^ this is what I've been looking for for a bit -

no problem? -
those track setups add a lot of weight though I think... one thing I like about wheeling soobs is the weight (or lack thereof)

yeah mounting the calipers doesn't seem to be the problem... from what I've been reading it's actually routing the cables, etc -

that was my original thought... but it seems like doing 200sx conversion would be easier -

operose replied to PoorManzImpreza's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I've been looking into this conversion and I just wanted to say that the reason is not to be able to lock up my rear wheels, but rather so I can upgrade to wrx brakes on the front... basically I want better brakes on my xt6 but want to be able to pass inspection as well.. I'm interested to know what people have found about the need for proportioning valves, etc? -
Question for Corky or Tex about rear e brake
operose replied to XSNRG's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
anyone know what year 200sx calipers are needed? 4cyl, 6cyl, turbo? <edit> nevermind, I'm dumb -

yep. that's the plan. you should've seen the first xt6 I got... sounds like it was about on par with that hatch you're speaking of  rebuilt it all with new metal then got smashed into by a dumb woman in a civic sorry for the hijack!

I found a hatch just like this (not as nice ) when I brought my friend to work today... going to try and buy it on thursday (exciting for me as it's the second hatch I've ever seen here and the first was in a junkyard)
