  1. hell, even uhaul has them, although overpriced. advance auto has a decent yet affordable model... there are plenty out there
  2. on my xt6 I just replaced both front axles yesterday... I took the two bottom strut mounting bolts out, and was able to do what was needed is this different than an ea82? taking out these two strut bolts was super easy
  3. turbowagon caught by some rentacops in golf carts? ya, not gonna live that one down
  4. to clarify, it turns over but won't start? definately check timing related stuff... something about a screw in the disty.. t-belts, tensioners, pulleys
  5. I've put 5k miles on mine with the keyway in the crank and the pulley completely screwed... I bought the highest quality lock-tite I could find, and torqued it down to 180lb-ft I keep telling my girlfriend "any day now this thing is just going to let loose" seems like the more I say it the longer it lasts
  6. need lift for the legacy. would like to install at the same time as the new suspension. need prices!!
  7. I am also not familiar with block work but it seems like you could take that one bolt out (what could it hurt ) and either teflon tape it, get a new bolt, or maybe even try sealing it with an o-ring? (if you wanna go ghetto, that is..)
  8. so this is the reason for oil pooling on the block, I take it?
  9. I think what he was saying is that the tire that was in the air would have been the path of least resistance as compared to the tire in loose dirt??
  10. ah... unfortunately I have almost nothing with regards to spare brake parts.. might want to hit up http://www.xt6.net/forum though
  11. we're all polishing turds... turns out it has been 1 year and 9 days since I drove home with my new (to me) xt6 on a trailer in pennsylvania... I paid $500 for the car, and a rediculous amount in gas for a truck and renting a trailer.. the car had bad transmission. I pulled the tranny and installed one from a parts car I had. I have about $2k into it total now and have driven it still less than a mile and a half in the 1 year and 9 days I have owned it. it's a sickness. <edit> to be fair, this is a different situation, as yours was running crappy, and I just haven't really had time to work on mine
  12. hooray for progress!! I'm feeling real good that I finally got my xt6 moving around too... only a few more things to button up. got any recent pics of the rx?
  13. I got whiteline flat out steering rack bushings for an impreza that fit my xt6... seem to be good quality
  14. first one didn't work for me, but in the second one you got owned by being too easy on the skinny pedal!!
  15. that's fine but when I posted that there was a post like 3 posts down from this having to do with a 5lug swap, and the original poster knows it's going to switch from 4lug to 5lug.................................. what more can I say http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=57810
  16. they paint wasn't completely cured or whatever... he painted it yesterday and it said it would be like 7 days for it to be completely cured
