Anyone ever have knocking with synthetic oil.
operose replied to Gl-boost's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
this "rule" as you call it, is a "myth" and has been hashed over MANY MANY times on the usmb. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com -
you can buy a notcher, or as I just found on pirate4x4.. you can notch with a chopsaw.. but of course I forgot to save the link

checked with city/county and was referred to advance auto, who DOES NOT TAKE used antifreeze
-
oh man I want that green wagon
-
gary... advance auto doesn't take antifreeze, and they can actually get a VERY hefty fine for accepting oil with antifreeze in it.. . I found this out the other day when I was trying to find a place to take old antifreeze (my mom works there). turns out there are NO PLACES here that will accept used antifreeze.. mine is in a gallon jug in the garage wasting space

too bad it's nasty stick on trim and not a weight-saving dash replacement

I wheel in the dark a lot.. after work and stuff.. if I'm alone, or the first vehicle in line, it REALLY helps to be able to get as much light out there as possible so I can see as much as possible. in my opinion, depending on conditions, the more light the better while more than 2 might not be NEEDED, there is the chance that it would be very helpful (and for me this chance arises a lot)

Why NOT to use a forklift to lift a car!
operose replied to RallyKeith's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
hell, I rolled an xt6 up on the driver's side with a chain, a tractor, and some 4x4 posts for braces. used some tires on the ground, and did _NO_ damage to the car, even when we let it back down -
