  2. neeeed.... more.... pics...
  3. I got my stuff from jamie really fast... that's rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, and some other stuff.. it came really FAST!@!!!!!!!!
  4. actually phil, on my legacy, I was able to run 2 12 gauge wires under the trim on the a-pillar, and it's still attached. I just pushed them under the rubber "seal" that goes against the windshield with a screwdriver
  5. there are lumpy spots on your tires!!! maybe they will go away when you drive around
  6. unfortunately no, I think the water pump died on my way home from working on the xt6 one day. you can see the rest of the pics from that day and a couple of others, here though: http://nnyoffroad.com/wiki/index.php/Photo_Galleries
  7. '91 legacy 4eat now with more lights and a busticated engine and here's me with the legacy stuck in the snow.. quick tug with the jeep and we were back on the trail
  8. I had the same thing happen... heat when cold and the temp gauge went into the red... this was in my '91 legacy.. but when it happened there was quite a bit of steam.. I pulled over and let it cool off, and topped it up with some coolant.. drove another mile and it overheated again. did this dance the entire 7 miles home.. drive a mile, temp gauge starts to go up, stop, top it off, let it cool, drive a mile, temp guage goes up.... I replaced the thermostat thinking it had stuck closed.. no luck. now I'm on to the water pump I guess as there doesn't seem to be much pressure in the radiator hoses when the car is running, and it seems logical that if it's not circulating it can cause the car to overheat and the heater to be cold
  9. a search will return this info, but welding your rear should be fine. I have no experience personally, but you can just remove one rear axle when driving it on the street. (and by can, I mean must.)

    Winches?

Overkill is better than having the winch burn out on you because you needed another 1000# of load pulling power. Plus you can pull those stuck trucks out that are in your way. READ IT AGAIN

    Winches?

I'm pretty sure most of the info you require is in this thread, easily found with a search, and it only took 10sec http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35597&highlight=winch+capacity also, I have nothing against new people. remember, I was one once, and it wasn't that long ago, either. just trying to help by giving you the information you ASKED FOR

    Winches?

hate to say it, but this topic has been covered lots of times in this particular forum. I'm sure a search for "winch" will bring up more information than you can dig through in an hour
  13. I'm probably closer to some of you ontario people than some of the east coast united states people.. I'll do some mapquesting.. maybe we should get together for a meet sometime
  14. "Most prefer to throw new parts on, locktite, and over torque the crank bolt. Then hope for the best." I did this, but without the new parts.. now I think my waterpump failed, and I have to take it all apart... hope the bolt doesn't break off in the crank tonight when I go to take it off
  15. might want to check out http://www.stu-offroad.com/electrical/elec5/lights-1.htm and wire them up with a relay
