canajun2eh, we should get together some time and go for an xt6 cruise... the only two I've ever ridden in/driven, are mine... nobody around here likes soob's. your approx. 88 miles away, and that's the closest I've found anyone! (sorry for the hijack )

I put a toggle switch on my xt6's PS pump once because it wouldn't ever shut off, even when the car was off and the key was out. I ran the switch with huge 10g wire just to be safe, and the pump really doesn't like being turned on/off... turns out my ghetto switch (switch from an old computer power supply (read:AT)) actually saved my car from turning into a giant marshmallow roaster in the driveway. the pump shorted itself out so bad that it burned up the switch and the 10g wire (with the switch off....) which kinda acted like a fuse and wouldn't let any current go anywhere else, so it broke the short... not sure what the point of all this is, or if this will happen to you, just figured it'd be good information to have

you have to keep in mind the computer controller for the pump, and the speed sensors that interact with the computer and change the amount of power assist your getting....

convert wagon to a brat but with 4 doors

if you live where there is snow, and a large hill, you could use the chopped off roof as a very large and heavy sled. but I hear that this is quite dangerous from people that have tried it with car hoods, as there is no way to stop, and you build up tremendous momentum going down hill on a large smooth piece of heavy metal plus your body weight -

is said hatchback in good condition....? -
hey man... I don't like auto's either, but my xt6 came with one stock, and that's a "2 door sport coupe" or whatchamacallit.....

I'm with subiemech85. the driver's side visor on my '88 xt6 always was falling down, no matter, what. I replaced it with the driver's side visor from my '89 xt6 parts car with less miles, and it functions perfectly, just like it rolled off the assembly line (the visor, anyway :/)

my xt6 horn is so weak that people don't even notice when I beep it... even if I lay on it forever

I haven't convinced anyone to cover my shift at work yet, but I'll see what I can do in the coming week. I'll let you know either way, but I plan on coming.. hopefully <hypnotic music> other people will decide that they are coming too </hypnotic music> because, alas, I've never met anyone from the board, or even with a passionate subaru interest

sorry to hijack, but either of you AK fellows been to "slim's lodge" ? don't exactly remember where it is, but it is (was?) run by either a distant relative of mine, or one of my grandfather's friends... got some cool pics of the place somewhere -
you want huge tires on your car, man?.... you should get a lift.. 4" lift would let you put some monster rubber on there.... wish I could get a lift kit for my xt6 I'd be off-roading that thing in a second (if it weren't F$CKIN 2wd!)

I've got an XT6 that the volt gauge drops on when the turn signal is on. I'd also like to know how to fix this if anyone knows
