  1. It's not the actual job, it's what I actually do while at work..... Job is Systems Dispatcher for the local power company. I control the Power Grid for our county.
  2. Find me my exact job in that area and I'm there. LOL....goooooooood luck. :-p
  3. If it flows good, just add coolant and water. Change your T-stat, sounds like it may be stuck open. Also you can put a chunk of cardboard infront of the Rad. that will help warm things up. It will not overheat. When you get to warmer weather, pull the cardboard and you will be fine. Get new Rad. hoses too if you havnet done that in a year or so. They are cheap too.
  4. If you aren't having cooling issues now then don't worry about the Rad. if it has good flow. Pop off both hoses. stick the garden hose in the top. If the water flows out the bottom at the basic same speed, then you're good to go. Change T-stat....use subaru OEM from dealer. and all the other things you have listed...seems good to me check the brakes. -Caleb
  5. 80 Bucks is high for resurfacing rotors. Try like Napa, or Carquest. The ones down here do it. 35 bucks If I remember correctly
  6. Clicking = bad CV axles. Have you changed them recently? If you have, have you used OEM or EMPI axles. Something to ponder....
  7. More pics looking good man. glad everything is 'kinda' working out. It seems like you have been all over with the soobs in the last 2 months. Glad you got a brat, they rock. -Caleb
  8. Sounds like that Rig came from Miami, lol. I can picture a bunch of "people" in that car all decked out in 1990's attire headed to the club, listening to their favorite DJ blah-blah-blah whatever album. Huge pink hoop earings, and extra large sunglasses. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
  9. Forget about turbo, this isn't rice-grinder.org/forum Just enjoy your car the way it is. Drive it untill that mess of a motor quits then put a ej22 in it and forget about trying to just "bolt on" a turbo. It doesn't work that way. Forced Induction on a non-Forced Induction is not an easy task. Takes lots and lots of research, and knowledge. Until then, Have fun. I think some pics of this car are in order. -Caleb
  10. I used to work for the County (Lewis) Road crew, and now my buddy does. I asked him what they are using. Sand. simple answer to a simple question. So in conculsion. Lewis County is using Sand, and Sand only. DRIVE COUNTY ROADS
  11. yeah, I have read that before. The other day during our cold snap, I had salt caked to the side of my rig. Pure old school, east coast salt.
  12. thanks for doing some checking for us. I gathered the same thing. Just state roads. Either way it still sucks, I have to travel state roads. Like you said though, there is some hope travel county and city roads and be on the safer side. Can you pass on a message to the big wigs for me? thanks
  13. FWD would be the same except the fact that both back tires are turing the same amount, "coasting" if you will, around corners. So you will still get the chirp and bark of tires on tight turns but the drivline will not be spinning so they will not be getting power.
  14. Those Finnish people know their winter tires.
  15. The rebuild kits are avalible from like schucks and autozone type parts houses. I think mine were like 9 bucks a side. easy breezy just like grossgary said. -Caleb
  16. AT's are great for snow. As well as year round driving. Winterforce are good for what they are called "Winter" don't run them year round, you'll be buying tires alot.
  17. A welded diff would act just like you think it would. Barking tires and a bit harder on stub shafts. (ask bill) It can and has been done, many, many, times. As far as going back to 4wd it will act the same. While in FWD you will still get some bark from the back just like you did in RWD. In 4wd it will rock! Most people do not weld on their DD street drivers. I have known many people to do this on thier DD (sube and non-sube), you just have to get used to wider turns into parking spaces and whatnot. Hope that helped. -Caleb
  18. Hmm Philly...... last time I was there we were flying lines and some retard gangbangers shot our Helicopter. We didn't know it till we found two bullet holes in the body when we landed. anyway enough of the rant. Welcome to the board.
  19. Bill, post a pic of your RX, that's one way to take care of any nest.
  20. That is a thought. Seems to be the easier and better way around it is to swap in a EJ22 and be done with it. No dicking around making a stroker. However, I don't see why you can't explore. Grab a spare motor, tear it down and play around till you figure it out. Sounds like a way to spend a weekend. -Caleb
  21. Spray the nest with WD-40 (if you can get to it) and reach up there with a glove on..like a dish washing one, and a mask over yer face hole. Them nests are nasty and full of unhappy:eek:. (The WD-40 keeps the dust down and the particals out of your lungs.) as far as the rest. I dunno. But yes time it..get a light and do it. I'm glad things are looking up. Before you know it you'll be shopping around for a lift and some Pugs. ;
  22. No offence, but I'd rather stab my eyes out with a dull racoon tooth than live in TX. WA has it all....and now including salt lol. -Caleb
