  1. I have access to a tire machine... I know at this point you already have them mounted and all, but I do have access to a tire machine for future reference. And I know how to use it too. Thats the part that a PITA!

    Tires!!

Thats a neat link.... Did you buy those orrrrr......? I am curious to see what a real world picture of those tires look like. They are definitely cheap. Remember too the old saying "you get what you pay for."
  3. I have plenty of tools, the end of next week works for me. I'll PM you my phone # and you can gimme a jingle whenever and we'll work out the details.
  4. My schedule is somewhat open these days. I have a few irons in the fire but am available most days right now. My place or yours? What day/time works good for you?
  5. Sooo, you have the weber, AND the adapter to fit the ea82, and just need help installing? I maybe could help you IF you have everything necessary to do the swap. I live east of Battle Ground in Venersberg. Let me know I am willing to help. Maybe not 100% free but I'm down for some trading too....
  6. I'm also in it to win it! So long as work doesn't interfere....
  7. I highly doubt you'll rub with 205/50/15's, I'm running 205/55/16's and my car is lowered quite a bit. Unless I'm at full lock it doesn't rub, and only barely then. I think it'll be easier and cheaper to find the 50 series tires over the 40's.... My $0.02....
  8. Dude.... Just spend $30 total and buy some HD scotchbrite, sandpaper, and 4 cans of gloss black krylon.... A nice finish is all about the prep work....
  9. I hate you guys....... Curious, is that a 100% legal place to offroad? We have spots down here in my neck of the woods but they've pretty much all been shutdown due to abuse of privilege... I have to drive a distance to find anywhere "safe" to go wheelin.
  10. +1 Mine are extended 1.25" and it does help a lot. The sleeve over the radius rod helps beef things up too. Also I think it helps to create a little more caster and a little better approach angle too. After I sleeved them and was putting it all back together I put the outer bolt in first, then had to ream out the other hole in the control arm to get the bolt through.
  11. Saw that car in the costless parking lot this evening... Looks good! Needs a little bigger tires but looks tough!
  12. You will be satisfied... Swampers are 2nd to none....
  13. AYE CHIHUAAHUAAAA! Really though it mostly looks dirty/corroded, the engine is still the color of aluminum and not the color of oil.
  14. Sweet.... The first one is me.... Thats awesome....
  15. Do you store a shovel under your hood!? Or is that there for some other coincidental reason??
  16. RESURRECTED!! So my question is.... How to you take the cover off the dead pedal without breaking it?? I tried to pull a couple of them at the J/Y today with no avail.... Is there a trick?? Am I just not prying hard enough?? Thanks in advance. Spencer

    Tires!!

Cheaper than the bighorns and better too....delivered price as well... http://www.jcwhitney.com/super-swamper-tsl-tires/p2013749.jcwx?filterid=b1924c3836j1
  19. I have not been off-roading in nearly a year.... I definitely would consider a local-ish organized subie run. The NWWO guys taunt with all the pics they post of walker!
  20. Probly worth a 1 or 2 hundred bucks give or take, and some $ for the lugnuts as well. Also be sure to make sure they are not 390's! Which I recently learned can be turned down to accept a 15" tire but they'd have to be machined.....
  21. I've had it take some time before too. Don't worry it'll go away if you did everything right! Also, if your just letting it idle that may not be enough, sometimes it takes some rpm's to do the trick. Take it for a spirited drive, watch the gauges, and it will go away.
  22. OOOOOH! I totally read the OP wrong before my first reply, which now doesn't make any sense to me anymore now that I do understand what happened..... anyhow.....
  23. I think (but am not at all sure) that oldschool was building that wagon for one of his sons a while back. Not 100% on that though.
  24. Wow, I'm surprised you actually made it 1600 miles without any major hiccup! I would've thought that the compression would be enough to blow the gasket out faster than that.
  25. That is a very cool story about how you came across that nice looking hatch. It's one of those stories where it seems like the car found the driver rather than the other way around. Kinda reminds me of the way my blue Loyale came into my life, not quite exactly but similar. Anyhow, congrats on your nice find and, yes, you have entered a new "brotherhood" of sorts. Keep that thing on the road its a nice one!
