  1. Hey everyone, now that the Leg Wagon is going to be out of commission for a while, I am looking for a cheap commuter. Yes, it has to be a Soob! I am either looking at getting a EA82 or Subaru Justy. I would love to get a Justy just because I havent owned one yet and would love to have the 3-cyl MPG. Dont know much about them though and wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on which way to go. Justy or EA82? My new job is alot of distance commuting. I could be driving to Bellevue one week and Chehalis the next. Thanks for all info!
  2. Type of Wrenching:Shadetree, Maintenance What: Some Subarus, VW, Volvo, Ford, GM, Mopar. My family always had a little of everything that I worked on. How Long: 16 years Other Skills: Landscape and some heavy eqiupment Been just taking anything and everything apart since I was a kid to learn how it worked. Mom always got pissed when I would take pens out of her purse and tear them apart. lol
  3. Been doing some thinking and I figure that what I am going to do is just take the Soob out of comission for a while and do everything I need to with it at once. I have to do the cam seal and a new clutch set anyway so I may as well just pull the tranny. So this may have actually worked out better than I thought! Another question, can I access the rear cam seal with the trans removed and engine still in the car??
  4. Wish I could be going with you guys! Have a great time though and drink a beer for me!! Hey Brat, think you could pick up some stickers and a WCSS glass for me if they have any available and I will pay you for it the next week when you come through here??
  5. Ok, sounds like I am going to head out to pick-a-part this week then and see if I can grab one. Is there anything to look for on the parts car VC that would tell me if its another bad one before I pull it out and install it on mine? Also, does anyone know a good place in WA to get a rebuilt one if I have to?
  6. So about how much am I looking at for parts??? Give me the high and low numbers(Pull-a-part & new). Also, how long could I get away with pulling out the rear driveline and running it in 2WD? Thanks
  7. Welcome to the board! Awesome looking rides! Great family here with lots of info to be had!
  8. Not the news I wanted to hear but thats ok! Just gives me another reason to get under the Soob. lol. I will go ahead and start searching for info on the Torque Bind. Havent dealt with that yet so this is a first for me.
  9. Welcome to the USMB family! Great board here that will give you all of the info you need and more! Check out the search content as it can save you alot of time.
  10. Hey everyone, having an issue with my 95 Legacy Wagon 5-spd. In the morning after it has sat all night, the Soob turns tight just fine with no issues. Once I have driven it about 20 mins, I go to make a sharp turn into a parking spot and its very hard to get it to roll into the spot. I have to give it a good amount of gas and it feels like I am really forcing it to go forward. The same thing happens when I am backing up. It almost feels as if the rear end is locking up in a non-posi way. Like I said this only happens when the drivetrain is warmed up. It does not do this first thing in the morning when taking it out of the garage. Any ideas? Possibly low on rear diff oil? Bearings? Bad CV axles? I definately dont want it to seize on me or worse. Thanks everyone! By they way, the new job is going great!!
  11. Dont forget to check out WCSS coming up Jake! You have a few people from your area heading up!
  12. Welcome! Dont forget to intro yourself at the Meet & Greet. I am telling you, this is a great site where you will get all of the answers you need! :)

  13. BBQ has to be cancelled. Please check original post up top. Sorry everyone.
  14. I definately wouldnt do the Home Depot deal. Thats just going to turn out very bad. You want to stay with a molded carpet kit. Try looking around at JC Whitney for a budget price carpet kit and also call around your local auto upholstery shops. Sometimes they even have good deal or may even have a used set of carpets laying around in back. Many options to check out.
  15. Glad to see ya here! Dont forget to intro yourself on the "Meet & Greet" section! :)

  16. Funny little side note. When I worked at Schucks and we started to set-up those little K&N displays with the ball floating in air. K&N SPECIFICALLY told us NOT to put the oil on the filter when putting it in the air flow display! Came to find out that when the oil is added, it actually has LESS air flow than the standard air filter! Yes, I am dead serious and you can argue it all you want but I saw it right before my eyes. Just a little food for thought.
  17. Would definately love to see some pics!
  18. Welcome X 3 as Olnick said! Great place here with more info than you could ever find useful! Lots of great folks that love to talk about thier soobs and work on them as well. Kick off your shoes and stay a while!
  19. Well thank you sir and yes it is true! USMB is very addicting and you just cant help but to check back constantly on the action! If it wasnt for me having family on Facebook I wouldnt even waste my time with it! Its just a bunch of drama and cry babies screaming for attention! If you ask me, its a waste of good internet space!
