  1. How many miles can you go with a set of front brake pads on a legacy 5mt. I do about 80% of city driving
  2. Any idea what stock bar in the 15-17mm size range would swap onto to my car? It's not a cost-savings issue, but rather a specific handling goal. 2003 legacy wagon or the L se comes with a 17mm rear bar
  3. [the RPMs rev way up, but the car just doesn't go. I believe one of your problems is clutch related....so you should start from there
  4. thank you for all those websites. Mine, is a B/H model 5mt 2003 built in a US plant. So far it drives like the first day I took it
  5. Do you know how to read the V.I.N. number??? I would like to know when my legacy was built. Thanks
  6. Replacing the shocks won't change in any way the height of your car.....if you really want to know they're toast, make a visual inspection, if they leak, replace them.... 2 go on each corner of your car and try to bounce it, and if it bounces, again they need replacement.
  7. I thank you ! I don't have to go back ....was very interesting reading all posts .vic 03 wagon SE
  8. I just bought a new oil filter for my wagon (2003) and the parts man gave me something almost half the size......well I stared at him he just replayed new technology
  9. You should go as far as possible on the clutch pedal, and when you realese it ther's a stopper so I d'ont understand the " pedal travel increases significantly".
  10. I have the same noise very low hardly noticeble, I have 43000km legacy/wagon-se 5mt I'm concerned but not worried if it gets louder I'll see subaru.....so take the time for things to get louder ....engine noises are hard to detect even from experts.enjoy your car
  11. I have a 2003 wagon SE like yours I guess, and mine as a drivers power seat (standard ) and heated but I don't find it more confortable then a standard seat.....I even believe a power seat has less padding material....best bet swap another seat....an audi seat maybe?
  12. those are for competition ....to make it simple you lose a lot of drivebelity on city driving.....so it depends what kind of driving you looking for
  13. The first was a 3.0-litre ’flat six’ performance version of the Legacy, the 3.0 R spec B. Lucky European buyers are to get this 245bhp car before anyone else in the world - and are promised a sporty driving experience. The six-speed manual gearbox is derived from the Impreza WRX STi, there’s Bilstein suspension plus18-inch wheels, so all the ingredients are promising. hope to get it on this side of the ocean
  14. I bieleve it is the disc clutch, all disc clutches have springs around and material sandwiched in the disc to absorb different trotlle inputs.....so probably subaru discs are more like a competition type disc ( less springs and stiffer material)
  15. My first fwd so i don't know how other brands preform, but it feels very relaxing and safe on winter ....very fun to drive
  16. I believe the is more related to pressure plate and disc design, subaru wn,t admit it since it does it on many others like on mine ( a 2003 wagon m/t) so you have to adopte a diffrent driving method
  17. I have a long way to go 20 000 mi on my 2003 wagon......but I got up to pas 500.000 mi on my 82 benz TD
  18. That's what I thought, the wiring is universal:) and one thing I can do with mine ......I can swing the rear out at will of course on snow covered roads....that's the fun with MT:)
