  1. Get a used replacement one. Get a couple actually
  2. I never heard the actual reason for it, I just assumed it was because it jacks up the frame... Cause thats what I care about, I dont want to jack up the frame, screw the airbags
  3. Thats probably what I would do too Did you know there was a recall on those tow hooks? Dealers are supposed to cut them off as part of the recall. (They tend to hit things and jack up the frame)
  4. Looks like it could use a third horizontal bar down lower just above where the tow hooks are...
  5. Wow that looks good. I like what you did with the stock indicators
  6. Try the Reno/Sparks and Carson City Pick N' Pulls for parts...
  7. Wow, thats a LOT of stuff for $2000! Good deal
  8. Thats interesting... Check and see if theres a part number on there when you get the car.
  9. Coilovers by far. I'd like to see any sort of aftermarket suspension options for the gen1's, but there really isnt any, so its custom or stock The reason I think there is some kind of option out ther for the rear suspension is that blue race car that was on ebay a little while ago... It had a red strut in the rear that wasnt stock, and I wonder who sells/sold it.
  10. The rears are a pretty simple shock setup... Do you think that kind of shock could just be some kind of generic length shock you could buy from any old place?
  11. Its called "bumper paint", ive used it on a few things before like wipers on my Impreza and my old grill. I usually sand the surface first then do like 3 or 4 layers. It holds up ok, but it wont last forever, probably a couple years. The cool thing is its not hard to just spray another coat or two on when it needs it. It might work better if you spray some kind of paint adhesive surface first before spraying the actual paint on, but I havent tried that yet.
  12. The interior was actually in better shape than the exterior when I got it. But it needs carpet in the front... Ill finish up the interior last, after the engine and paint.
  13. It finally cleared up enough today for me to uncover the car and get it running. Took a couple laps around the block, and took some nice new pics, concentrating on the engine bay: Nothing new though... Still waiting on paint/smog repair money
  14. Well maybe the vacume lines, but its hard to tell what they did with the air filter covering most of the important area of the motor (the carb). And its probably good that its not the original pump.
  15. 1) Pre-heater hose 2) PCV intake hose caped off 3) Air valve hose not installed (on the intake) 4) Aftermarket fuel pump 5) Poorly painted intake 6) Missing jack 7) Missing spare
  16. LOL, I missed this thread, but caught the one over on NASIOC Great find
  17. I for one don't have a way of bending 3/16" aluminum... So I would have to have a shop do it for me. I'd rather support Primitive though.
  18. Since when have skid plates been hard to find for impreza's??? http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/skid.htm
  19. This is why the first thing I did when I got the '78 was have a couple of spare keys made Make sure you have a couple extras everybody if you don't already...
  20. WOW! I would so race that, even better than the other one that was on ebay (although it doesnt have a supercharger ) I like the headlight intakes
  21. I want your car! Im gunning for a V4 bumper soon...
