  1. Good stuff! Dark blue with a small pic on the front, and a nice big one on the back Sorry I didnt take pics yet...
  2. No it wont. The weight difference between an EZ30 motor and an N/A EJ motor is roughly the same as a turbo EJ motor compaired to an N/A EJ motor. For the swap, it would be like a WRX swap as well, you need the ECU, wiring harness, etc. and also there is a little bit of extra work to be done for fitting the motor. Theres a thread on NASIOC about it by anders8
  3. You need to watch out, I believe the strut top design is different for the rear of the 02+'s compaired to what most of the lift kits are designed for...
  4. OMG, thats aweful, it looks like a gremlin/pacer but worse...
  5. Yes. There are a few custom jobbies floating around out there.
  6. How fubared is the camber? If its over fubared, might need camber plates...
  7. That motor has single port heads right? I guess a twin scroll turbo wouldnt work then... You could do the leaf blower trick
  8. Ya, I actually think my Impreza would have better body clearance in that reguard... Without the bumpers (not the metal part, the covers) , and with a body lift, it could have very steep entry/departure angles.
  9. Ya, its pissing me off, mine is grounded indefinatly at the moment due to smog... I'm thinking swap now cause of it, and cause of the access to people who can actually do swaps in this area. Money of course is the main issue...
  10. How much were the outback GR2's?
  11. Sounds good... Are you going to try to pass smog with it?
  12. Get the cusco engine mounts so you dont have any motor movement.
  13. What will you have to do to get the legacy tranny to fit? Different axles? custom length driveshaft? Im very curious about the details...
  14. VERY nice, I didnt know the motor mounts were so close to being the same... Got any pics from under the mount so we can see the bolt holes? Oh, and what tranny will you use?
  15. Hey thanks for the offer, but my Impreza isnt setup for being lifted (its more of a track/mountain road twisties car)... And I dont have the money to change everything that would need to be changed, but ya I am thinking about it in the future when I have money and a second car
  16. I'm running a WRX rear LSD in my '95 that has a 4.11 RS tranny. Basically, you can run any rear subaru EJ differential you want as long as you use the ring + pinion from that transmissions drive axle.
  17. I dont think it is different. I know the strut tophats are the same bolt pattern. The engine crossmember and tranny crossmember have the same bolt patterns. I think everything is the same for using a body lift.
  18. Yup, totally stock... And old I think the rear struts are dead, but I cant tell for sure since I dont know what they are supposed to ride like when they are new! Thanks, its good to hear that... I'm still stuck at the whole smog thing though, its spewing black, white and blue smoke now I really dont know how to fix it. Trying to find a local shop that can work on it and actually knows something.
  19. Whats going to be difference chassis wise between the early 90's legacy's and the first gen Imprezas?
  20. 205/50-15 They are just a tad taller than stock. And no, no rubbing at all
  21. Ya, the VTD (02+ wrx, Baja turbo, 5EAT 05+ legacy) autos are supposed to do that... I think the front diff is still open though.
  22. I didnt know nobody in this thread knew about Primitive or I would have posted the link with my post... So here it is: http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/skid.htm FYI, get the 3/16th
  23. I was really getting mad at the car til I got the tires and put on the wheels today... OMG its so sexy!!! http://community.webshots.com/photo/166896604/458793324uMyRNS 205's are wide on this car, but wider is better! http://community.webshots.com/photo/166896604/458792973jibXAC I cant wait til its smogged and running so I can get it painted
  24. Just get a skidplate. A nice and thick one.
  25. I put on the anti-squeel brake stuff, double checked everything, and it was all fine... So, I ran it without wheels, and it worked fine. BUT when I put on the wheels, omg insane metal scrape noise! I turned the wheels and found it, you wont believe it either... The stupid ebrake is rubbing just barely on the 13" wheels Solution: Buy tires for the 15" pugs I have and install them, LOL! Im not going to adjust the ebrake because in order for it to operate where it clears the 13" brakes the light comes on, which isnt right. So Ill just leave it like this and do the 15"'s.
