  1. Oooh, I hope the Impreza is 97 or newer and still has its headlights Any turbo legacies there?
  2. What year EJ22? Doesnt sound like much of an upgrade to me, what are the power numbers on the AU N/A EJ20?
  3. 110hp, 110 torque. Its definatly slow. 1rst and 2nd gear are ok, but after that nothing. 4th and 5th gear no power at all. The one time I took it to the wednesday night drags (just to get some numbers) I had a 17.782 @ 76mph, never got out of 3rd gear. And thats with a couple mods (underdrive pulley, modified intake box w/out snorkel, borla headers, 2" midpipe with wrx muffler) The EJ22 install wouldnt be that hard, at least compaired to other EJ engine swaps into imprezas.
  4. Hey, I got a new "hole" too http://community.webshots.com/album/138980219SMGShA
  5. If I find 15's this saturday, im buying them! Wont go on the car anytime soon, but im buying them anyway...
  6. Wait, Jibs, you got the 15's at the Reno area PnP's?! Man, your killin me!
  7. Check for leaks in the engine bay and under the car, drive it and see if the clutch is any good, drive through all the gears too. The price is pretty good. Its not super, but its not bad either. Its less than I paid for my 95 3 years ago, and the mileage isnt that bad either (mine has 125k). Check the VIN history and see if there are any issues too. Two door coupes with manual trannies are hard to come by, especially if its in decent shape physically inside and out.
  8. The steering wheel vibration isnt probably something that deals with the wheel itself. Check for flat spots on the tires, bad suspension bushings, warped rotors, etc.
  9. Got the pics, cool beans I guess its pretty hard to get these then? Im thinking it might be a good route for me to go with my 78.
  10. If its not too much trouble, could you send me the pics of the jdm dual carb too? I'd like to compair. Thanks
  11. Oooh, carpet, definatly something I could use too if its in good shape. I cant wait
  12. Lots of stuff Its hard to say really, there are some specific things then there are some not so specific things...
  13. Worked great from me. Great vid with some nice editing I really like the use of that stationary camera, made for some really interesting shots... Ill have to try that
  14. Did it still have the rear bumper? How about the carpet/trim piece that slides into the inside of the rear hatch?
  15. BAH! I needed those mouldings! *shakes fist*
  16. See brian Oh, and if we have this meet thing, I get first dibs on all Gen 1 parts I need
  17. Just curious, cause im seeing different power numbers from different sources, specifically about the last of the carb EA81's... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/specs/mechanical/engine-specs.html There it shows like 74hp, 94tq, while chiltons guides show like 82hp/101tq, and other places i see other numbers... Anyway, im really just curious which is specifically the best carborated EA engine that was in Subarus.
  18. Oh I see, its hard to tell what is going on with the uppipe. I thought you basically used the stock cast iron parts of the header and extended them a little along with the crossover pipe, but its more complicated than that. Why are you setting it up like this again?
  19. Well actually that is a stock header, just with the crossover pipes extended and the uppipe made a bit differently.
