  1. I would remove and clean it...remember you will need to adjust it when you put it back in so your car idles correctly If its faulty, find a used one out of a yard...from an EJ22 should only cost you $20 bux or so Have fun
  2. Well....i was wondering.....i have heard about how much diffrence a rear LSD makes....what has them?? i have a yard i could look around.....
  3. thats what i thought i heard once....but i thought in my exitement I may have made it up
  4. Got a beefy sway bar off a 91'ish legacy sedan...have heard rumors of legacy sway bars fitting on impreza's....anybody know?? Took some back fold down seats out of the same legacy and they fit perfect im my impreza......man i love subaru's
  5. Heres a few pics http://www.ccc-store.com/files/sti-start.jpg http://www.ccc-store.com/files/leg-start.jpg http://www.ccc-store.com/files/sti-corner.jpg http://www.ccc-store.com/files/nasioc-wag.jpg http://www.ccc-store.com/files/grpb-start.jpg
  6. Anyone get out to the super special at PIR on Friday??? Im gonna hit some of the stages in Vernonia with a buddy....root for a canuck with a cool impreza =0) Anyone Competing??? Cory
  7. i would say replace the speedometer cable....both MT's and AT's use the same one there are actually two parts to it...the cluster side and the transmission side get both...youll have to pull your cluster hook up the new one and then hook the new on to your transmission....its mechanical not electrical.... I was having speedo lag...and noise...fixed my problem Not to mention its pretty cheap $30 or so
  8. AT trasmissions will transfer power electronically by means of the Duty C solenoid (common issue with the 4EAT) so there is always power lag or "tranny lag" as its being called.....though it sounds funny...i dont spin out at all...especially when i got my 5MT
  9. kudo's to you on your engine swap....just a note to anyone looking WRX and other turbo Pressure plates, clutch, flywheels wont fit the NA models. The tranmissions are pull and push type between the two.
  10. Well after years and long nights of research, the outback hood scoop has one great purpose in its life to cool the metal plate that is bolted under it:cool: Its useless...just pretty...and a bit ricey... Cory
  11. Have a friend who has done 2-tranny swaps...legacy and impreza...ill let him know see if he is interested....what are you thinking of paying??
  12. youll probabally get a better response at these forums www.nasioc.com Cory
  13. um the dealer is right....they are for diagnostic....in most subarus they make the check engine light flash to indicate ecu error codes.....leave them unplugged....even if im not talking about the right ones, we all have them and they are unplugged....
  14. Quote: You shouldn't even consider doing this.....there are so many changes between an automatic vehicle and a manual vehicle that you can't even see..... People did that on cars back in the 60's and 70's but not now. Bull....done two swaps myself on a 97 impreza and a 91 legacy....easy as pie if you know what your doing....but on an 05??? buy another one.....
  15. Some questions for you all 1. Doing a rear brake conversion. Do you need the entire spindle assembly and part of the suspension.....? 2. Will Shifter and Swaybar bushings for a WRX fit my GC8 97 impreza 3. Can anyone express the difficulty level for a transmission rebuild? 4. Looking to put in fold down seats in my 97 GC8 Body style impreza, will WRX or even legacy seat work....? Thanks all Cory
