well since you asked. i think they look cheap, sound cheap, im sure there only made for the way they sound. a well tuned exast system is more than just the sound it makes. I also perfer the sound of a nice turbo muffler. borla or dynomax... and even magnaflow, and thats how i roll. im not saying you should take it off... that is just my personal opinion.. and the world would be quite boring if everyone had the same car.

so another day in snow coverd Cheney. its still snowing too i drove my firends volvo into spokane to get some tires put on it. it was an adventure for sure. i didn't tell her but the last time i drove a rwd car in the snow was when i was 15 and had my drivers permit. so it was quite scarry. i got back to my subaru and went for a drive... i love my subaru, even when i get pissed at it. also a girl across the street in the IGA/Exxon station drove her new passat.. i seem to be getting a sign.. chicks and passats. anyway she drove right into the ditch.. over a curb and inthe ditch i felt bad watching it all happen in my warm living room watching through the window so i went and helped. she had me drive it and my room mate moved some deep snow out of the way and i drove it out of the ditch.. the ESP ( traction control ) didn't let the tires slip.. just came right now.. then i asked why she didn't get the 4-motion option.. shes from AZ. any way that was exciting.

never thought of using the stock linkage. no i don't plan to use the water choke. just seems to be a unnessesary pain. does anyone know a good jet setup to use in washington? -
I was using redline in the my vw tranny and it was all fun but now im running Penzoil Syncromesh with even better results.

my weber carb:banana: took forver but its here. now all i need is an adapter plate, hitachi manifold, rebuild kit, and electric or manual choke conversion. also look at the next pic. see anythinng missing. the dude that sold it too my took off part of the linkage, no place for the throttle cable. that nut was loose and all the linkage still on was loose and wobbling around. now i need to rebuild it and figure out what jets will work best for me.

so chalk one up for subaru again. saw a familiar car not going anyware on ahill so i got out and went to help. it was a firend in her Kia Sportage and the 4wd wasn't engaging rear tiers spinning and the front hubs clicking like mad. I felt bad becasuse ive seen a sportage stuck in the sand and the hubs were clikcing like mad... i tried pulling her up the hill but got halfway and lost traction. oh well it was a fun evening on the streets.

I went out driving today.. probably about 4in so far on the roads. and to top it off i got hit by a college girl today. no damage.. her soft 5mph bumper saved both cars. but when i went to talk to her i saw she was running some crap summer tire. i think some people seriously underestimate driving in the snow. and sould probably learn or not drive. any way the subaru likes it.... though my free snow tires kinda suck.. my last snow tires were alot better.

i took the Lake Kachess exit.. took a left over the highway. cant remember what road it was calld.. long ago my dad and i wet snowmobiling up in that area. i want to check it out again. i was on my way back to Cheney for the last few weeks of school before winter break. if the weather is right we could get a group and head up there . it was a good road.

mozilla showed my most of it in english:D -
WEll like i said in the other post i missed the tree run becuase of car issues.. it was just a bad bad day really. any way on my drive back over snoqualmie pass i took the exit by Lake Kachess and went up exploring some snow coverd roads. After driveing a few miles i saw a turnoff and it had a stop sign so i figured it was ok to drive on.. no signs saying i couldn't. after some driving i came to find i seemd to be on a snowmobile trail. the snow wasn't more than a foot deep but as i got higher up the snow got softer.. and i had to keep my foot down on the gas. if i stoped like in the pic above i got stuck.. i couldn't get going after i stoped ther. so i had to take out the chains..yes a subaru with chains.. but i was determined to go further. another shot. so i kept going and finaly got stuck and coudn't keep going... i let off the gas and was unable to keep going... i dug in down to the dirt. if i kept my speed up i could have went futher... i was hopping to come across a few people on sleds.. would have been funny. so i took a pic and and got a good shot of the lake. and the lake pic.. wish i could have gone higher would have been a cool and challanging drive... even more fun with a few other subarus:brow:

oooh yea i didn't say that... possibly it could be something totaly different. :-\
-
i figure if you pull that off then you have problems with the tortion bar... possibly.
-
i only see 2, there is the two twards the inside of the tortion beam, than there is the trailing arm that as far as i can tell has no bushings.
-
i was thinking the same. the shocks are shot. and the car had a trailer hitch on it when i got it. :-\ so it could very well be some wore out rubber. i guess i can start there before i start smahsing the car with a BFH..im not that much of a shade tree mechanic. BTW are poly bushings available for my subaru. i probably end up paying 50 bucks for oem ruber and have to remove the trailing arms to get them pressed out. i was looking up the Super Pro bushings and it seems they are available but i can tell if they sell the two rear bushings link
-
ok i think i already asked about this before. one of my rear wheels is showing alot of negative camber, and abnormal tire ware. im wondering what could cause this. too much weight inthe subaru at one time? bad rubber bushings? trailing arm could be bent? would finding a new or another trailinga arm fix it? one dude on here said to wack it with a BFH. i really don't know if this will solve anything.. but rather put even more stress on the bearings. Today i jacked the car up and tried to see if there was anything loose and i felt nothing.

The annual Hatch Patrol Christmas tree run
PeterD replied to Qman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
sorry guys i cant make it now:(. the parts i got for the suby are on special order... no one has rear tranny mounts instock, and my dad cant find the warranty stuff for the axles that we bought. so its going to sit in the dirveway till i get back for christmas break. and i just got a crap load of stuff for my vw so i can get that going, nothing too crazy. im k inda bummed but i doon't feel the subaru is fit to do any more long driving, so have fun guys, maybe i'll get to go driving in the snow with some of you when im back in december. or i'll go up with my dad in his new subaru.
