  1. I started on this tonight, the thing that occurred to me: since the lines disappear behind/above the gas tank, which one is which? I don't want to cross them and have the circuits be screwed up, ie; right front, right rear, lf, lr. Instead of rf, lr, and lf, rr. Looking under the back seat, which one is which? Merry Christmas!
  2. I know this is an old post but I'm dealing with this right now. I can picture pretty easily how to do this, just one question so far. Do I need to create a new hard line? Or can it be soft?
  3. Thanks for the advice, I think i'll change the fusible links for good measure, re-check the battery connections at both ends, then check all the fuses, then learn how to use a multi-meter. YAY! this is my step daughter's car and I can't get mine back until it's fixed. Thanks again for the info, i'll post results. D
  4. I have an 86 gl fwd sedan, weber conversion, put a NAPA fuel pump in the other day and now I get nothing when I turn the key. Charged the battery, cleaned the battery terminals, made sure they were tight. checked the fusible links. Any ideas? Thanks, D
  5. numbchux: thanks for the great reply, very informative gives me the exact info i needed. I might go the heim joint way, i don't have a problem with noise or regular lubing. Thanks again:)
  6. Numbchux, so just to be perfectly clear... It's a bad idea to turn the tie rod ends over? I have a two inch lift and there seems like a lot of pressure on the tie rod ends when the suspension is at full droop, I've been thinking that turning them over would relieve this. Other than lowering the drive train do you have a suggestion for a fix? Thanks.
  7. Saw the weirdest thing today, I was cruising south on Hwy 30 towards PDX at about noon and I see this nice little white Brat with a canopy going north. I don't know the year, because I don't. About 2 minutes later I see a blue one, it's newer, about 2 minutes after that I see another. This one is white as well and lifted, I think it's the same one I see in St Helens... was there some kind of meet today or something? Or did I just get lucky.
  8. Did you get this car from GD? He had one that looked exactly like that. is it a DR 5speed?
  9. +1, unless you did something that would cause the timing belt to fail, it's his problem.
  10. Just had this happen to my lifted 85 wagon. exact same symptoms. I was a 10 minute fix.
  11. What a great time! Thanks to the Ken for talking to the Forest Service and getting us a place to play! I now know what to do to make my car work better in the snow, bigger engine and better tires.
  12. Hey Rick, you're a popular guy! I'll make it quick, I need a new alternator and was wondering if you had a Maxima one sitting around waiting for a home... I lost your # when my phone died, hopefully you still have mine. If not PM me back. I'll be in PDX on Wed the 10th, LMK Dave

  13. What size drill bit did you use for that, I have a set of 6 lug Calmasters that I want to use, just haven't really tried to find the right bit size.
