  1. Take the rear the shaft off, its not hard. 6 bolts. Drive it and see if the noise is still there.
  2. Ujoint in the driveshaft or carrier bearing.
  3. This wore out Hitachi was flawless. You can rag on them all you want. I have a Brat with a Weber and it would have been no better.
  4. Actually its more fun passing people in their 3/4 ton Powerstrokes that are in the ditch.
  5. They want like $70 for one of them. I need one too but I aint paying that for it!
  6. Utterly amazing, if I must say. From NW MT through ID, into NV. Lot of long mountain grades, snow, and wind [individually]. 30 mph headwinds, 85 hp when new, 258K miles....you do the math. Who needs hp when you have 3rd gear? Straight pipe with converter and resonator sounds like an angry lawnmower. Wow, those seats are a horrific thing! Gotta do something about that. Sweet spot was 65mph at about 3000rpm. 28mpg and not a drop of oil.
  7. I can see how it would work with throttle on/off. Kinda wonder how it would do with driving in a normal situation. You know, accelerate, shift, etc. Buy one and report back here.
  8. I'm thinking it might be this. Peeking in there, I dont see that little lip that should be on the block side. I think thats whats doing it. I need to find a pic to see what it supposed to look like, to be sure.
  9. The drivers side belt wants to work its way backward, toward the engine block, any ideas? It will start to shave itself thin.
  10. You are only using 4wd on a slippery surface, right? Not hard gravel or blacktop?
  11. Thats what they are. I like them a lot, but I like these much better and half the price: KC 1687 fogs
  12. I've actually stuck a piece of copper wire in the hole, same direction as the bolt. Then screw the bolt in and the copper takes up the slack and its there forever.
  13. FInally got it to work. Even did the VIN for my bus.....sweet.
  14. I have always bought Luk clutches off Ebay, and have had good success.
  15. Seems to be nowhere to properly post this, so here it is. We are heading from NW MT to Elko, NV area in a few weeks. 93S through Missoula to Elko. Its either take the Suburban at 15mpg or the Soob at 28mpg. Plus there is the sex appeal....no brainer. Anyone along this route in case we get into a bind?
