  1. well i bought it from pooparu who got it from someone here on the forum. but their easy to make i made one for my buddies wagon costed about 100 in materials. i run toyota wheels that are drilled to fit subaru 4 lug pattern. i run 205/75r14 they measure to about 26.5 inches tall. and i have not cut any of the fenders. but i did do some modifying to the rear torsion bar because the tire hit. but it was a 5 min fix with a grinder. my plans are to ej it as well and make it my wheeler/daily driver. i have most of the bedliner on the gen 2 off. i left it in the bed because i like it there. and its still on the roof because i havent gotten to it yet. but im using a scraper that takes to razor blade tips and i pour some acetone on to the area where im currently removing it. it took me half an hour to do the driver door rear pannel and half the tailgate. its been a process though, gotta try not to go to deep with the scraper.
  2. im steven and im bringin my 1982 brat with ej swap, itll be primer black. and possibly also bringin my 1981 brat as well.... white
  3. introducing my gen 1 brat which ive had a while. mostly straight small amout of rust. it has a 4 inch lift. the maxima alternater swap a custom stainless steel rear bumper, use to have a stainless front bumper but i ruined it. other then that its stock. working on the body work this moth re painting it white. well here she is and here is my 2nd gen brat. bout it a few moths ago from erik, it has a 3 inch sjr lift, ej swap with a 4 speed did a radiator swap from a 98 forester and working on the exhaust today. bodys straight but it had bedliner on it so im removint the bedliner and repainting it black. and doing a 5 speed swap next moth. here she is still havent finished making the top bracket for the radiator but stainless filler rod will do till i get more time
  4. deer island is between ranieer and st helens Oregon. 40 miles north of prtland.
  5. this thread is still going. i have ran into a snag with prototyping. my boss moved a machine into my welding area that is being rebuilt. so i havent had space for it. as far as roll bars i could do them but thats something i need to see one so i can match the factory bolt patterns alot of the bumpers will look similar to the one in my avatar. ill be puting mounts on so that a stinger can be bolted on later. and as of right now i have 3 cars i can do prototypes for. 1st gen brat 2nd gen brat and an 87 wagon. havent been able to find more people to let me use their cars for it. due to the fact its their daily driver.
  6. im out for thursday also. im only able to come on weekends. due to the fact that im near longview
  7. im in if theres enough people going. i like going to seattle for road trips
  8. Got an ej swapped brat that is sputtering when opening the throttle. It idles well with an ocational backfire. What could this be? Its an ej 2.2 out of a 91 legacy. Also I can't get the check engine light to work bulb is fine.it doesn't turn on when first starting the car either. I'm stumped at this point
  9. I'm looking for a drawing of the ejs wiring harness after its been preped spliced and finished. If anyone has one drawn could you pm it to me. I wamt to re do the harness I have and its so mangled I gotta start over. Thanks

  13. does anyone have a bull bar they would like to send to me, to replicate an exact fit? or by chance have a CAD drawing, and i was thinking what if i added an cross bar for it, think it'd be better?
  14. unfortunatley prototyping has been delayed till next weekend because the guy that was going to drop the outback off had to go out of town, instead i will start with a first gen bumper then ill work with an 86 any suggestions for the first gen style?
  15. First prototype will be started in 2 weeks on a 2000 outback sport. 2" mild steel 11 gauge. Front and rear bumper
  16. Yeah I could.help you out. Wouldn't be expensive either I did my exhaust in 1.75. And Is it modifying an existing rolbar making from scratch?

  17. A lot of potential there.
  18. what about the newer subes like the outbacks?
  19. well if u want it cnc i would have to know the size and see when its next on the bender if u want me to just copy it then i can do that pretty cheep depending on material size and type and the roll bar i can help ya with too but as far as pricing it all depends on material and size. just let me know a little more detail and i can help u out a little better

  20. alot of those ideas are excellent. we can do the y pipes if we can get an original one down here. we would be able to ship any where in the world. and the bumpers would need to be simple. the more welds the higher the cost. the more cnc the cheaper. the bullbars would be a for sure thing we can start doing. but does any one know the year range where these parts would fit universally?
  21. I work in a production mandrel bending shop. So I have access to huge mandrel benders that could manufacture bumpers cost effectively. I'm wondering how much interest is in this? What type of designs would you guys be interested in? One of our CNC benders: Our level of welding:
  22. Well ill be a taker if you are in oregon. I own I fab and machining shhop with a hd plasma cutter.
  23. if you figure it out let me know because thats something i want to do as well to my brat
