  1. thanks. know a good place to that many different wire colors?
  2. i noticed the poor drawing for my 79 when i installed a different ignition lock cylinder. i had to trace the wires myself to get them right because it wasnt accurate on some of the colors. but i dont know where to start because there was alot wrong with it. and its been out of the brat for a few months so i dont remember all the issues. i know it'll be quite the chore. i tried to find antother harness for sale but had no luck. and my 79 harness is missing sensor wires and plugs so it works but not the best.
  3. well i am curently running a 79 brat harness in my 81 because the harness for the 81 took a ************. lights wouldnt work, blinker and stuff worked backwards and the tack wouldnt work also. i just wanna rebuild the whole thing possibly out of a slightly bigger gauge and to make sure every thing is right i want a witing diagram. would make things easier. sube1o1
  4. can any one help me out with a wiring diagram for an 81 brat with the 1.8? it would be most apreciated thanks sube101
  5. i work at an exhaust manufacturing company, i could probably start building subaru exhausts for fairly cheep. and not restrictive low end crush bent. they would be high flow mandrel bent. and either mild, alumanized, or stainless. this isnt advertisement this it a thought
  6. the header/down pipe is double walled. but the rest isn't but is could just be a heat shield making the rattle
  7. oh and i could price out products through my shop and have things delivered if ur a do it ur self kind of person
  8. honestly it shouldnt cost 500 for a new cat with some components. i work at an exhaust shop and it would only cost around 150 and usually you dont need a new muffler if ur cat goes bad. but sometimes you do.
  9. what place in cali re does dashes? and how much bout is it?
  10. yeah the sube people out here arent all that friendly with waving. and wqee should do a meet in august at sand lake

  13. Yes you would be followin the columbia, I fand it pretty scenic. But 101 is scenic too you get to see cannon beach and what not
  14. if you took hwy 30 it would be faster then 101 and u would be passing by sube 4x4 and a few others including myself

  16. thanks guys. its the right canopy just fits really bad. i think it got bent up a little. steven

  18. i have a canopy for my 81 brat but it doesnt seem to fit well. whats the difference between the gen 2 and gen 1 brat canopies. is it so big of a difference that it wont fit what so ever, or is it minor differences. thanks
  19. gotcha. . . well thanks. idk if iim gonna put it on or not. im undecided
  20. ook so i bought i brat and there is a holly carb and adapter plate for it. not installed yet, my question is how good is a holly carb, im askin because all i ever hear about on a sube is either a weber or a hitachi. i mean i know holly is a good brand but does it match with weber?
  21. yes any shop should be able to handle a simple exhaust leek, especially if its just he gasket going out. their really easy to do. takes about 10 minutes
  22. does your motor have the starter on the top or off to the side? if its on the top its not able to be changed over to dual range, i ran into that problem with my 79 brat
