  1. Ok, well I'll try to get some more specific area's tommorrow. Is there something more specific than what I showed you, that maybee I can take a better picture of or describe?
  2. Ya, fix the timing, and then double check the vacuum lines anyways, there is always one you miss.
  3. Good to here, especially since it turns out, I didn't fix my own problem. Thing's a pain to take on and off though without dropping screws.
  4. Hey Eric, Why not start out with running some seafoam through the fuel system, and in the oil. Do some tune up stuff like new plugs, wires, and pcv, how's the timing?. I don't know the carbed cars very well, but i pulled the engine on my RX without any prior experience, and did a overhaul, all new hoses, sensors, etc. I just asked a lot of questions on here. I could probably help you out if you need it and I have an engine stand if you want to borrow it. --Todd
  5. This thread should be in the new gen forum, or in aftermarket forced induction on Nasioc.
  6. After too many times of trying to figure out how to put the heat shielding back on, I just left them off. I did however have my up/downpipe/headers ceramic coated, and they cool off to the touch very quickly, just don't touch the gaskets. Worth the money I say ~ $115
  7. Turbo's can be ceramic coated as well. The stuff is great, my pipes don't get as hot, and cool off very quickly.
  8. One of 3 things that are taking WAY too long to get for my subaru's. At least I can do without this. The differential on my legacy however, is a different story. WJM--what about that sti key?
  9. I thought mine had crapped out. The other day I just did a thourough check of the areas where the accelerator lever touches that button thing, to discover the rubber around the button was cracked, causing it to stick, so I removed the rubber, and the problem is gone.
  10. I would reccommend foreign engines, just because I've dealt with them. The were great and pretty much delivered the engine to my door next day (of course I live a lot closer to them than you)
  11. I gotta say that mine looked like that too. Timing is set to 20 degrees. I don't use premium gas anymore, because I found out that the car runs much better/smoother with plus gas. No detonation
  12. TransX worked awesome. No problems now. Proved the dingbats at the dealership wrong(the guy who worked on my car has worked there a really long time, why the didn't know this, it amazes me). Thanks as always for the help guys.
  13. The guy at the parts store said to use whatever gear oil they used and to use an additive, so he gave me transX. Then went back to the dealership and told them that I had a clutch pack lsd, and not a viscous, the guys there said it shouldn't make a difference. Well obviously there is a difference, or my car wouldn't be acting up.
  14. Well, I was looking at the car, and the shifting problem might have been because of the clutch cable. It was moved around when I did some work on it the other day. And I didn't have any problems driving it today. The differential thing is getting worse. The dealership said they put the same fluid in all their new cars. Mototech 70-90, and yes it is for limited slip he said. They are going to take a look at it on Tuesday. Hope it doesn't explode before then.
  15. I could only point the blame at them if they put the wrong fluids in. So I'm going to go over there now and find out.
