  1. I worked in the tire industry for a while, and I would go with the I pikes out of the 2. They won't be so noisy without the studs
  2. __was supposed to be PM

  3. Coolant temp sensor should be good, but might need a cleaning. Timing was set with green connectors. How do I close the idle switch? I am going to replace the 02 sensor next
  4. It really feels like a TPS issue. I have replaced that unit once before. I will look into it.
  5. My 88 Rx has been having an issue. At random times, when I pull up to a stop, I will get a low rpm bouncy idle. If i try to accelerate normally from this I will get zero engine response except for a few burps and pops. So I have learned to know when the car is going to do this and rev the engine up high, and then hammer down out of it. Go to the next stop light and the car will be fine. This can happen with a hot or cold engine. I also have a completely random CEL #22 knock sensor, which I have changed the sensor and connector with no results. I guess It could be the part connected to the ecu, but what am I supposed to do about that? I recently changed my spark plugs, oil, coolant, and adjusted my timing. I have lost my lower end power, but have gained high end. I feel like this could be the ecu adjusting but it is a pretty dramatic loss of low rpm power. Any ideas appreciated. --Todd
  6. Trying to dig through old posts to find which KYB part #'s I should get to replace the 1 or 2 blown shocks on my RX. I have an old quote for 234046 gr2s for the fronts and 341065 gr2s for the rear. I called KYB today and the guy said that he was getting the #341216 for the UK version 1.8 turbo rears, but I need to call him back with my OEM shock #'s to confirm. Another USMB thread said part # 341053. So now I have for the rears: 341065 341053 341216 I guess I'm just going to end up calling KYB back with my OEM #'s but would like to hear thoughts on this. --Todd
  7. I have two sets of 185/80 13's on my RX. They fit just fine. All-trax winter radials. One set is studded, the other not. I could get Toyo racing tires in a 205/60 13, but they are $$$
  8. The Les Schwab in Fife has the All-Trax that I got in stock, and would probably be happy to get rid of them cheap.
  9. I have 2 sets of 185/80/13s WinterTrax from les schwab. They are discontinued, but there should be some sets available, and they go for dirt cheap.
  10. Glad you got it figured out. Pretty sure I've seen your car driving down around Bellingham before
  11. Looking good. I just had to pull that strip between the bumper and headlights too. very rusted.
  12. The solenoid your holding in the 1st photo connects to the metal line on the bottom left. Not sure about the 2nd pic at the moment The rest look OK to me. Do your self a favor and just change all those coolant hoses now, or they will go one by one like your turbo coolant hose.
  13. good to know, since that connector of mine is broken, and the wiring is probably crappy too.
  14. If you ever make it up to Bellingham, I work at one of the Les Schwabs there. I could give you my opinion. Sounds like the wheel had a lot of corrosion on the bead seating area, that's fixable with a wire wheel or sandpaper, but probably not something a store is going to want to spend a bunch of time on for free mostly, I have seen ones leaking from corrosion alone.
  15. hmm. that might look pretty good
  16. I was in the group buy and I got mine just fine
