  1. I have had nothing but trouble with my cooling fan on my Samurai since my engine rebuild. The first thermal switch only worked a couple cycles and quit ( chinese generic ). I switched to a Derale setup and it ran awfully hot before it would come on, then one night it switched itself on and killed the battery! Enough is enough. I dug the fan switch out of my parts subarus radiator and grafted it into the top rad hose with a 1/2" galvanized t and 3/8 brass bushing. That thing works perfect- stays the same temp even when launching off sand dunes on a hot day! Info may help someone trying to eliminate clutch fan... I also run a wrx booster/mc on it - easy swap , works fantastic!

  2. If only you weren't on the other side of the planet! There is an old guy named Jack here who has a built EA71 with matching tuned turbo wrapped up in his garage, it was for one of his home built helicopters but he lost his health certificate. He got quiet when I tried to buy it awhile back like maybe he hoped to use it someday. He now runs a built ea81 on a home made trike!

  3. I just scooped my gl10. A unibit and metal blade jigsaw cut it easy. Make sure you absolutely have it where you want it before cutting. You can use masking tape if you are keeping the current paint. Try not to cut into the hood supports. If you attach with doublestick 3m tape ,prep area with acetone to get wax and dirt off.

  4. well, looks like I am going to resurrect this old thread. I am searching for a part # to get a dual core radiator for my wifes gl10 turbo AT 4wd, I read in one of these posts I was searching about putting an extra heater core in front of the rad - I do have an extra core but it sounds kinda fab-tastic and does it work that well? I am pretty sure a dual core rad would be affordable and basically bolt in. :slobber:Temps are still just in the 60-70s and it gets one bar over the middle climbing long hills. By July we will be topping the 100s.

  5. We just took a 1000+ mile trip to San Diego and back - EA82T awd. It had been sitting in a field for 7 years , I have only had it running a couple weeks. Even the ac is ice cold! I changed the fluids and tires but didn't have time to do the timing belts but carried them with me. Coolest part -Best tank was 29.6 mpg! Most were around 24 mpg with 4 people and loaded with luggage.

  6. door lock light - can probably pull the bulb,

dome light - pull pin switch and clean it , check wire connection. If ok with meter pull lense off light , a spring loaded ball bridges the metal strips. check and clean , make sure plastic llever that holds spring and ball is not broken or wallowed out.
