and florida= I may be the only one in my city with an '80 or older Subaru. maybe one of 5 in the state, who knows
-
then why did you signe the pics?!?!? PHOTO THIEF!! actually is more the lighting then anything, perfect highlights in the mud and good sun reflection in the car, and good croping and composure

This is one of the best Subaru pictures I've seen (coming from a pro-photographer)

maybe we can get a link to this in the for sale area, it probably shouldn't be moved there I just ordered 1 of the 2 they have left, so there is ONE up for grabs imediatly, I got it for $75 from Toni at ext 212, once again their product number is WCR288 I'm still in for the 2 on the group buy, she said it would take 6-8 weeks to make a new batch

ok guys, I need a favor, apparently PNP only has 2 left and won't be making any more, and I need one, but I can't order it till Thursday, so I am calling "dibs" on one the lady said they haven't had anyone order one in awhile so I know the people in this thread haven't ordered yet, she also said that I shouldn't worry about them selling out but I know it's pretty likely, so all I ask is for one of the gaskets, my subaru and its wet floor will thank you for it!

WRX turboback exaust onto...a '79 wagon!!
MachineAgeVictim replied to MachineAgeVictim's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
The height was a problem, just no place to fit the muffler, I went the turbo muffler route, sounds really nice, went with a 1 7/8" pipe back to a 2" muffler -
What size tyres?
MachineAgeVictim replied to cubastreet's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
if you have two tires the same size on a bigger wheel then your tires will be bigger too, use this calculator to figure the difference http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html -
WRX turboback exaust onto...a '79 wagon!!
MachineAgeVictim replied to MachineAgeVictim's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
ok, what I'll end up doing to mount it is, since it is a dual tip, just mount the axle back at the header and take off the tips then run pipes off the tips out in front of the rear wheels, the only problem I foresee is the height of the WRX muffler being a problem, I will take lots of pics -

Thank you!! I do have a miss at idle too, and the little afterfire with shut down too, could it be the carb mixture then? where is the adjustment for it? -

Well, I set the timing to 10 then tried 15, still does it, could it be a binding throttle cable? the pedal and throtte comes back just fine, could it be binding when I push it dowI'll have to catch some video of this, it does seem like it's leaning out when I give it throttle under load you know I should replace the fuel filter, is there only one? or one in the back too? -

I didn't see the photo of your exhaust in the gallery well the WRX exhaust isn't restrictive compared to the stock 1600 plus it's nice and quiet, also I don't have the piping going through anything at all, it's just brackets and yes it's free I just went to look for my current exhaust leak and the muffler fell off LOL, soooo I'm gonna do something about it -
Yep, I'm gonna try and do it but I don't have the wrx pipes to look at yet, does anyone have pictures of the bottom of their car, maybe up on a lift? just want to se how the bends go

Temperature Sensor Location
MachineAgeVictim replied to MachineAgeVictim's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
ok I found the temp sensor, apparently my cooling system is really efficient, after idling my car in the driveway to half way up the meter, it only took less than a 1/4mile to bring it all the way down hmmmm the exaust leak on the other hand is completly different and probably encouraged by the offroading I did the day before , so I'm lucky I have plans to pick up a free WRX exaust this weekend that I plan on mating up to the '79 :-p if that doesn't work then I'll just go with a high flow turbo muffler, before the rallycross on the 30th -

A simple problem
MachineAgeVictim replied to MachineAgeVictim's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
well I got the carb kit ($18) and installed the new accel pump and I still have the same problem, I also replaced the coil... so what else could it be? I can't find the timing notch on the crank pully, where is the match on the block? -
