So I talked to my friend tonight who has the mill and he got all excited and said he made things like this in the 80's. So I, or we, are going to start pricing things out and see what materials and things are going to cost. At any rate, you can be sure that we will be making some to play with. My friend even mentioned that he has a friend that is an engineer and could get us an engineered stamp of approval. So I will keep you guys filled in. I know some of you are watching this thread. Yes, whatever way you are turning, let say all the way to the right, like Lucky Texan said, all the stress of the turn is on the inside wheel or axle. So if you are turning a tight right turn and the axle is clicking, then yes, right side. I have mentioned before too, if both have about the same axle life, the other one isn't far behind. So keep that in mind, but if the other one looks good and passes the tight turn test, you should be fine.

I have a test light and a fluke muti meter.

So I was taking off my dr. side door panel and two of my wires came off the switches on the window control and I thought I got them back on the right terminals but when I hit the down, I heard a click over by the passenger seat. So I took out the pass. seat and pulled out the bosch relay and tested it by doing the click method, and I couldn't get it to click. So I grabbed a new one I had in my tool box and click tested it on the battery, it worked. Put it in and still nothing. Is there another fuse? I checked all the fuses in the panel and they are good. There is another plug that plugs into a black box that says power window relay unit, can that go bad? Ideas? I am frustrated.

Yep, come to a complete stop and crank the wheel all the way one direction and try to do a tightest turn possible. If the axle is bad you will hear the famous click click click. Then try the other side.

Did you check your TP sensor. I know of ones that said to check that and it wasn't getting the signal it should be. Check your plugs too and see what they look like. I'm not sure if the 93 loyales had a electronic Distributor, but check that too. Oh and check your fuel delivery, maybe not getting enough. Fuel filter? How long ago was that changed?

So just curious guys, running an aftermarket oil gauge would give you a better reading??? than the stock gauge in our clusters?

So this is to all the guys in the Spokane area. I have not got to scout the wrecking yards around here and need to know what are the places to go in Spokane for the 80's Subaru's? I was cleaning my dash and the clear plastic already had a crack in it and the _______ thing broke. Yes, you heard me, so now I am on the hunt for one. Of course I needed one any way because it was cracked but now it is Broke.

Year of the cars would help. These guys know them like the back of their hands.

I stole one of my wife's makeup brushes. Works great. Nice and soft but of course I got yelled at. I told her it was for the Brat and that didn't do me any good.

Anybody got any advice on what to clean the inside of the gauges. I have the clear plastic off and it does have some dust. Any advice?????

Cool. No offense taken. My wife too mentioned it seemed cool to be able to show that the Brat had 223,000 on her already and then had upgrades and still driving on the battlefield. Guess I will just leave where it is. Thx guys.

Hey thanks Numbchux. I have been reading your write-up, have it printed, over and over going through things to make sure I have it right. So I may be asking you some more questions and please be patient. I know you have done several of things and I always like asking someone who I know has done it successfully. Oh, and thx for the tip too.

Hey Gap, I didn't know there was another one of us in Colville. So am I. Check continuity through each wire for the plugs. It may be a broken wire that looks fine but isn't. Like GD says, don't troubleshoot a rig with Visa. It is going to be something simple and something that is just being overlooked. Plus when you rev it, it seems like it is losing whatever voltage it may be getting before the rev. What do you mean Tested? Did you take it to Oreilys and have them put it on the machine? Like DaveT said, it might be loose when you rev.

Wow GD, I did not know that about the Ea's. I know I have my newly rebuilt ea81 in my Rx with only 5000 miles on it and am looking at the Ej sitting next to it with 220,000 and am contemplating putting that in the Rx and even more so now knowing that the parts are getting so hard to find. Totally see what you are saying.
