Ask the dealer but I think you can adjust it.

Does it feel like you are braking? Maybe you are not too smooth on the clutch and gas pedal action???? But I was taught that if you have a full glass of water and your passenger is holding it, you want to shift smooth enough not to spill any from the glass. If you use your girlfriend or wife, make sure you don't spill otherwise you are being slapped.

The Brat looks really good. Nice bar in the front too. -

Actually if you look at your pic, just above the exhaust pipe where you see the oil, you will notice the shaft that is connected to your stick shift. There is a little screw, maybe an allen, not sure, but you can loosen that and it slides off the shaft. Then you can pop out that seal, slide it out and over the shaft and then replace with a new one. Slide the stick shaft back over and lock that little screw back in place. A little dap of loctite, wouldn't be a bad idea. -

Can you post a pic so I know for sure what you are talking about? Thx. I am going to go out in the shop and look now. -
For my Brat I just bought new XT rear hubs. The front is the issue. I don't like having to change all the parts, let alone, find them.

Well my Brat has the 2.2T but I haven't gotten to the point to finish the swap. It has the stock fuel tank so any info from anyone would be great. Plus I have an 88 Rx that I plan in the future to put in a 2.2 N.A. and want to make I don't have any issue. Feedback please. What was your 87???

First of all, you got to take a full pic of that Brat and post it. I love the Dukes of Hazard and would love to see it. As a matter of fact, thought of doing that myself but haven't. So about the Brat, you should be able to feel the clutch engaging nicely by sitting there and slowly letting it out until you feel the car start to move. You can adjust it a little more or less to your liking but just make sure it is fully engaging. It looks like it may be leaking from the little seal that goes around the shifter shaft, but it is hard to tell from the pics. It can be leaking further up and the wind is blowing it down the tranny a bit and looks like it is leaking in another place. Wipe it all down and I have started the car and laid under mine to see what is going on. As far as running rough, that doesn't really tell us much. The Brat just may need to be run, and with some Sea-foam added to the tank. -
I can't remember, what year 5 lug XT rear hub fits the 88 Rx?

The ones on the doors are looking pretty baked from the sun and peeling. When you put your arm out the window it sometimes scratches you. So I am now thinking of different options. One of the drivers side trim on little window was rusted away like termites to wood if you know what I mean. And what is bad about it, that trim catches a lot of dirt and grim which is why it rusts that thin metal. I am thinking of making some pieces that look good and that you can remove easily for cleaning.

So someone said that there are problems with the stock fuel tank and fuel starvation in the older Subarus when you do an Ej swap. Is that true????
-
If not I will just fabricate some new ones. I was hoping to find something on the shelf, but as I said on another post, if you want to keep our rare older subies on the road, we will have to get creative. Oh, and if I did find a parts car, chances are those trim pieces are rusting away like mine are and you pretty much ruin them taking them off.

I will definitely do the bigger studs but we are no where near that hp rating. Is there a way to correct the negative offset??? -
So I got tired of the rust on the back of my Rx and I just went wild and cut it out. Tail lights were black mastic'd in and broke when I took them out. So now I am like, "great". Now what. So I just figured I would make a new improved Rx tail end section Euro style. I even got the 3rd brake light to work and tied it in with the others.

Replace the axles with new ones or reman'd. Don't take them out of the yard. Besides they are pretty reasonable for price. For your struts, Rock Auto will give you an idea and then you can start seeing price wise if you what to upgrade to a performance strut. If you are not racing it, don't bother. Stock ones are just fine plus if you want to raise it, that is something completely different. It is just a spacer that goes on top of your strut top hat to the mounting point. SJR makes the kits I believe 2" all the way to 6"

Yes there is the spline, but also the mounting bolts of the hub are right in the way of where the new 5 lugs need to be. Just need to make a strong adapter and make sure you have new grade 8 or higher bolts for the application. -
So I finally decided to try to pull it off. Does anybody know where we can get replacement trim????

Hmmmm, redoing the hub might be harder than just the adapter, after looking at it. -
