  1. Ok Bratman now I am curious about this. Can you do a dumming posting and pics and be specific because this actually may be an option vs the adapters and would like to weigh the differences. Thx too, I know we are all busy.
  2. Yes, go to the dealer in Gorst and get the actual turbo exhaust gaskets and the hoses. Yes there is the oil line on top, the metal hard line. Beware of taking it off. Bolt, washer, through metal line, washer. Make sure you put back together same way. Once you take off the top hard line you will see what I mean. Just take your time and pay attention to detail. I always take pics to refer back to double check.
  3. Actually I took as info from that post as I could for my friend who has the mill so I can show him what they need to be. We are also going to purchase a Digital Read out Turn Table so we can go from centerline and then just rotate the table. You basically need it and can be dead on to the thousands. The table is like $1000 but I told him I would go halves with him and then we can make more plus other things.
  4. Nice job dude. It looks like you have a few subies from the pics. The XT6 next to the trailer looks like a nice one too. I didn't know the XT had the weird steering wheel.???
  5. Welcome to the site. Nice rides.....Crazy you found another one almost identical. Way cool.
  6. Wow I would like to see more pics to better understand and see if that is another option.
  7. Its way easier to remove the turbo. Not that hard either. Remove the exhaust bolts and then the turbo and the coolant hose you can get to no problem. Just be easy with the exhaust bolts, don't break them.
  8. I would be checking grounds. They seem to create problems if something isn't grounded properly and or loose ground. For it to happen when things were good, connection?

Ask the dealer but I think you can adjust it.
  10. Does it feel like you are braking? Maybe you are not too smooth on the clutch and gas pedal action???? But I was taught that if you have a full glass of water and your passenger is holding it, you want to shift smooth enough not to spill any from the glass. If you use your girlfriend or wife, make sure you don't spill otherwise you are being slapped.
  11. Sounds like a battery problem. Check connections and the battery. While you are at it, check the alternator too.
  12. I figured I should make a new rear bumper to match the new lights, plus it was completely rusted behind the plastic. So I made this. Now to Linex it.
  13. Actually if you look at your pic, just above the exhaust pipe where you see the oil, you will notice the shaft that is connected to your stick shift. There is a little screw, maybe an allen, not sure, but you can loosen that and it slides off the shaft. Then you can pop out that seal, slide it out and over the shaft and then replace with a new one. Slide the stick shaft back over and lock that little screw back in place. A little dap of loctite, wouldn't be a bad idea.
  14. Can you post a pic so I know for sure what you are talking about? Thx. I am going to go out in the shop and look now.
  15. For my Brat I just bought new XT rear hubs. The front is the issue. I don't like having to change all the parts, let alone, find them.
  16. Well my Brat has the 2.2T but I haven't gotten to the point to finish the swap. It has the stock fuel tank so any info from anyone would be great. Plus I have an 88 Rx that I plan in the future to put in a 2.2 N.A. and want to make I don't have any issue. Feedback please. What was your 87???
  17. First of all, you got to take a full pic of that Brat and post it. I love the Dukes of Hazard and would love to see it. As a matter of fact, thought of doing that myself but haven't. So about the Brat, you should be able to feel the clutch engaging nicely by sitting there and slowly letting it out until you feel the car start to move. You can adjust it a little more or less to your liking but just make sure it is fully engaging. It looks like it may be leaking from the little seal that goes around the shifter shaft, but it is hard to tell from the pics. It can be leaking further up and the wind is blowing it down the tranny a bit and looks like it is leaking in another place. Wipe it all down and I have started the car and laid under mine to see what is going on. As far as running rough, that doesn't really tell us much. The Brat just may need to be run, and with some Sea-foam added to the tank.
  18. I can't remember, what year 5 lug XT rear hub fits the 88 Rx?
