So my choices are, hook up to a mechanical oil pressure gauge, or just go with an idiot light of some kind, or aftermarket electric oil pressure gauge? Oh, thx czy for the links.

Need to install mufflers in Subaru Impreza
Naked Buell replied to erictyson's topic in Turbo Engine Tech ('91 and newer)
Well I had a Wrx 02, it had the Magnaflow muffler, it sounded awesome. I had people asking if I had a v8 in her. It has a nice rumble and even more so when higher rpms. It also helps the engine breathe better I thought, being a turbo. The subaru motors have a distinct sound. I could be blind and know when I subie is close by. -
It is better to do an aftermarket electric gauge?

Radiator overflow tank for Brat 2.2T
Naked Buell replied to Naked Buell's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Cool. I will tee off at the tank on the 2.2T motor and tie in to the radiator overflow line. If I have the stock Brat radiator cap what pressure should I get? And what pressure cap on the tank on the motor? I figured I should have a new one too. -
Radiator overflow tank for Brat 2.2T
Naked Buell replied to Naked Buell's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
Now r u talking about the tank on the motor? I have the lame plastic one that came with the 2.2T stock. I am asking, if I have the one on the motor, do I need another one to catch from radiator cap to overflow? Or do I just cap it? It is the stock Brat radiator metal. -
Hey guys, I have the 2.2T in the Brat, can I use any overflow tank that I can fit in there? I have the one tank on the engine, and I have the line off the radiator cap, to go to an overflow, like in the EA82. Any thoughts and advice? Thanks

Hey guys. So I have a friend that tells me he has an old brat that has been sitting out in his field for some time and wanted to know if I wanted it. He says it has two extra motors in the back as well. Hood has been closed and can't open due to the cable being broken. Any advice about snagging this. I have an 85 Brat that I have been working on for some time but I always seem to find more subies. Like I said, any advice?

I did something different. One guy on there, had the bright yellow wagon down in south america somewhere, showed how you could use 4 runner struts and springs. It did raise the rear slightly, 2 inches higher than the front, which I like the look on the Rx, but I feel they are too stiff. If I put 4 people in her, I am sure she would ride nice. But one person, she feels like a rally car. I put XT struts in the front.

Call out to XT6 owners! Wiring question
Naked Buell replied to jdmleggy97's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I checked my manuals and all is says is "to electronic power steering system". Like you said, it is probably just a signal wire. -
4x140 - 5x100 Wheel Adapters
Naked Buell replied to Naked Buell's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nope. Nothing yet. The guy is pretty busy. Scott @ SJR already has everything figured out. I was going to contact him. My guy needed a digital turn table to be able to drill exactly where needed and I was even going to pay for half. I may try to give the whole thing a push again and I will let you know. -
So, out of all the ones that have a CrossTrek, no one has anything to say about them?????? I have seen some with BFG's on them, nice looking little 4x4 safari rigs. Nice look.

I basically pulled the line from the carb, front of carb, that goes to the dist. I sucked on it and saw my dist. was not advancing. I could have the gas pedal floored, in gear, and it was as if Grandma was driving. NO acceleration, just slight increase. No power. Timing was good, fuel filter was good, plugs and wires good. I was really scratching my head, until I figured that it had to be the dist. That is what advances the timing to keep the engines power where you want it. When you say 4k-5k revs, that is with the clutch pushed in?

Hey guys, I have always liked the Cross Trek and was thinking of getting one for the next wife's rig. Can I get some of the pros and cons that you have come across. I hate the fact that you can't get a manual in the Outback anymore unless it is the Outback Sport, if I am correct. Any thoughts would be great.
