  1. Hey guys. I have a 88 Rx. I noticed that the rear seems to sag a little lower than the front. Does anyone know of a replacement shock or strut where I can raise the rear so she sits slightly higher than the front????? Thx
  2. Ok guys help me out. I have an 88 Rx and the electric windows works and doesn't work. Does anyone know of some aftermarket window controls so I can change those stupid things out? Thx guys

  6. Hey guys. I have an 88 Rx. I have rebuilt a bran new motor, every piece, and she finally is running really good. Now I am fixing all these little things that add up to being prissteen. So on my 88 Rx dash, on my car it says "Fulltime" then under it 4wd and Lo, then the center says "Center Diff"; so my question is, when is the fulltime 4wd light on if the car is 4wd all the time???? Is it constantly on? See all the wires are damaged on top of the tranny. I am pulling it next week to repair, I just want to know what is supposed to be on when I fix it. Obviously, 4wd Lo comes on when in Lo. But as of now, the dash says I'm in Low and center diff. lock, when it is unplugged. That is how I figured the wires were burnt when I crawled under there and saw that probably all the wiring has to be replaced. So does anyone know on the "Fulltime" light? Thx

  8. Hey guys. I have a question. So I have converted my 85 Brat to 5 lug. I also have a 93 SS legacy. Now has anyone heard of or know of the thread where you can take the rear ebrake assembly from the legacy on put it on the Brat??? Every where it says the XT rear set up but the XT's are hard to come by. So any info would be cool. Thx
  9. Hey Becky, My name is Naked Buell aka, Joe. I have a 85 Brat that I have completely redone. Good score by the way on the brat, it looks nice. So on the cyclop light, I would take it out and take two leads from it and just touch it across the battery. That will tell you if the light works and if the flip up cover is good. If that works, just find the relay that runs it and see if its good. But if the light and mech works, probably relay like you thought. Oh, I get a lot of info from this site too.

  10. Hey guys. So I swapped my 85 Brat to 5 lug and rear disc but everyone knows subies e brake is in the front. Being I changed to legacy front discs I don't have an e brake. I was referred to Nissan 200sx rear calipers that have the attachment for the e brake. Nissan had an 1.6 and 2.0. Does anyone have all the information I need for the right rear calipers? Thxs guys
  11. Let me clarify. My Brat has a Legacy front end, with the five lugs. I swapped the rears with the Rx so I have disc all the way around. Being the legacy doesn't have the e brake in the front I was wondering what to do.
  12. Just to let you guys know I have a legacy front end on the Brat and the Rx rear disc set up doesn't have the e brake so that is what I am asking. Sorry should have included that.
  13. Hey guys. I am in the middle of dropping the 2.2T into my brat and it mentions to tie the ECU into the fan relay to have the ECU turn the fan on and off.   14. So I swapped rear disc brakes onto my Brat from an Rx. I was wondering, what do you do now for an emergency brake? Thanks for the info guys.
  15. I have an 85 Brat too. The first thing I would do is swap the wires on the distributor. I have accidently had them on the wrong leads at the coil and got nothing. Double checked and swapped the leads and she fired right up. I had swapped to a new coil too but all it was were the leads on the wrong terminals.
  16. Hey Bros. So I have an Ea 81 and have stripped just about all the emissions crap off the engine. But one thing I was wondering about was there are two pipes, one off each side, that come from the exhaust manifold and come up to some kind of junction and goes to the air filter. Do I need those stupid things??? I'm thinking not. Any ideas???? thx
  17. Okay guys. This is for the guys who have changed out their Ea 81 pistons with the SPFI pistons. Is it worth the money for the upgrade??? How much are you gaining???? I just had the heads pressure checked and I had the cam redone for torque. I can get pistons but is it worth the money? I am not trying to get every HP I can, just wondering if the bang is worth the buck????
  18. I can't stand the Ea 82. I have heard other guys have liked them but not me. Every one I have come across I was replacing and the Ea 82T are even more of a piece of garbage in my opinion, and I love subies. I have an 88 Rx that had an Ea 82T and started having problems and I just yanked it out and I am rebuilding the reliable Ea 81 with some performance upgrades. On the carb issue, I would get yourself a weber for the Ea 81. I myself stay away from the Ea 82. I would rather do an EJ swap before putting in the Ea 82, but I am just telling you what I have come across.

  23. Okay guys. Need your help. I have an ea81 with a ea82 manifold and the weber carb upgrade. I would like to know how to run the breather lines off the valve covers and to the carb etc. I just want to make sure I have it right. Thx
  24. I am doing a 2.2T swap into my 85 Brat. I am also putting in a 5 speed jdm transmission. Do I just hook up the vss from the tranny to the ecu????? Pin B58, pin 11 says vss. Does it just connect to the transmission?????
