Hey I have a question Stereo Geek. You mentioned the Big Three upgrade which makes sense. What size would you go with? 6 gauge or 4 gauge or is that too big?
-
Hey Scott. This is Naked Buell. Are you still needing some manual labor around the shop? I am trying to look at my schedule and set something up. Remember I am coming from Bremerton area. So please let me know. I would love to see what you are doing in the shop.

Hey I just got my distributor back and dropped her in, and obviously it was bad. She runs like she should. I have some more questions, being that you are so resourceful. Question one; I saw that you mentioned about taking off the emissions crap that the Brat is loaded with. I would like more info. Question Two; I have LED blinkers but they just blink fast, yet my hazards flash fine. Any advice? Thanks again.

Hey Bill. About the hubs, I found some. So no worries about getting me those hubs of yours. I was over in Eastern Washington visiting my Dad and drove by this house that has an RX sitting under a tree just like my son's. I asked if they wanted to get rid of it and they said sure for $100 bucks. Can't beat that huh? Thanks anyway.

You mentioned putting portioning valves for the rear brakes if you convert to discs. I would like some more info on this for I am planning to do the changeover soon. Thanks

Hey bud, I like your 85. That is the look I am looking for. But I have a question. A friend of mine put a STI scoop on his and said at 60 mph it acted as if the hood was going to be ripped off. Does your do that too. If not, what did you do differently, where did you get the scoop? I was also wondering if I could get some pics of your bumpers. I built similar ones and like how you did yours. I am trying to clean up the front look a bit. Good idea painting the lowering portion black. Good job. You have an engine upgrade too don't you????

Hey thanks for the site. Heads up though, I called them and it is now $50 bucks for a single advance and $75 bucks for dual.

Well it looks like the diapham is the problem. I suck on it and keep pressure but the diapham only moves from the initial suction and then returns to its resting position. So where is this place that rebuilds them???

I have another question for you...I put the Weber on my Brat. The plugs have been changed, wires, cap, timing is right at 8 BTDC and vacuum gauged the carb to 20 lbs of vacuum but I still seem to have a slight hicup when I have my foot barely on the pedal. Almost deaccelaration but not quite. When you are in 4th gear and wanting to do 35 and you foot is barely on the pedal, I feel a slight hicup. I never had that with my Hitachi but then again you can't adjust them either. I am beginning to not like the Weber and might put the Hitachi back on if I can't find out wants going on. Any ideas?

So I saw you mentioned to someone about upgrading alternators. What exactly will bolt right on to my 85 Brat? It has the stock EA-81 alternator now and I know that the charging system is pretty weak and I am planning on putting some offroad lights as well as it has a stereo too.

Well I turned down my bass almost as far as it goes on the deck and I haven't had the amp shut down since, but then again I haven't tried to overload it either. So, basically I need to upgrade the alternator and the wiring along with a stiffener cap and things will be good, right?

So I read that you are a stereo geek. Well I have a situation that I think you may be able to help. I have two Sony Explods in my Brat with a 635w amp. When it gets so loud the amp's overload kicks in and shut the amp down for 5 secs and then comes back on. I had a different amp previous to the Sony and it did the same thing which is why I put the Sony 635w in, but it does the same thing. Do I need a capacitor?

So I am so hoping that you have had the time to pull the hubs. How's that going?

Hey Scott. I am recently new to the forum and love all the info. I see that you need labor. I was wondering if that is still your demand? I was thinking next week or so, if you still need some help, that I could come up with my son and lend a hand with your needs. I am coming from Bremerton area, so of course I would like to know first before traveling all that way. Thanks

So I haven't heard anything really from anyone about hubs. Do you have some for sale?

Hey Nick, I am heading down to the Post Office with your Brakes for your Brat. They will be in the mail today. Thanks again and I am glad you could use them. Looking at your Gen 1 Brat makes me miss mine. Keep Subie-en.
