  1. Ok, I have a lot of money tied up in parts for this but I really need to get rid of it. Its going to end up in the crusher if no one buys it. At least make me some offers please.
  2. Ok, so my picture file size is to big, so any one that would like to see pictures I guess I could send them in an e-mail.
  3. Ok, sorry bout that. Teenager and home coming. Like I said, life. Any way, I took a few photos of the brat. I cut the floor out and was going to put the hatch floor in and that is as far as I got. May pretty much make it worthless to most people. I do still have the original floor. It was pretty bad under the seats though. I collected a lot of parts and was going to convert it to the hatch motor. I had the original motor running just long enough to see it would run, but it didn't carry any oil pressure. I have all the chrome. I even found the side bed rails. I all the drive train for both. I would like to get $1000 for it all. If I can figure out how to post pics I'll get them up.
  4. I will post some pics tomarrow. I wanted to see if there was some interest in them. By the way, I'm in Baker WV.I'm still thinking on price, but your more than welcome to make offers after I post some pics.
  5. Hello friends. I have a 1981 brat in pieces. Everything is here. Its one of those things that I started and life got in the way. I have also parts from a hatch and was going to upgrade motor n all. Camper top, big bumper. Many extras. If any one is interested I'll post some pics.
  6. I'm working on a 1981 Brat gl and would like to lift it. Looks like you do a great job on the lifts, but my problem is I live in WV and I can only list it 3 inches and keep it road legal. Do you think you might do any 3 inch kits, and if not, could you sell me some plans for making them? I can make my own I'm pretty handy at fabricating myself, and I was thinking of trying it anyway, but it would be nice to bypass unforeseen mistakes, and since you've already done it, you know what to look for. Everything looks easy except the strut tower and rear tube mount.
  7. Hey man! Thanks for the compliments on the engine.

What I have in the build thread is pretty much all of what I did to it. Do you have a GOOD machine shop nearby? That will be a MUST.

  8. Engine looks fantastic. What did your fuel mileage turn out to be? I just bought a 1981 Brat and believe it or not, it;'s actually in good shape. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with it yet, but I do know I want to do what you did to the engine. I have located a car with a SPFI EA82 that I am going to comvert the SPFI unit over onto mine. After reading your performance build I guess I can use the pistons also. Did you use the original rods with the EA81? Are they the same rings? What did you have done to the case halves? I would like every detail of your build so I can do it. Also, do you think I should leave the stock 4 spd tranny in mine, or should I go with the 5 spd?
