It's a 4wd 1,2 Liter Sumo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Sumo) . No problem with 12" of fresh snow. And its nimble as hell. That wheelchair lift sounds good but adds too much weight to front axle. I'm just going to get better winch to replace that old chinese no-brand thing.

Here is our Plow Car It has worked well for 2 winters =) Only weak link seems to be the puny Atv winch that lifts the blade up.
-
There is a 20 liter fuel tank out of a Ski-Doo Nordic behind the passenger seat strapped down with some gargo straps. Mb 190E tank would be alot better. Its bigger and if i remember correctly it would fit between rear shock towers.

Hmm.... How fast is too fast? Flapper is made from 3mm steel (0,0762") so I don't think that i'm ever going to drive that thing that it bents with wind force.

Just get lots of long sawsaw blades zzz ...and strengthen the roof before cutting.
-
Front pipe is stock followed by selfmade y-pipe with 110degree bend and a 16" long 2,25" straight trough muffler with somekind of a flame killer inside. Mufflers outer shell seems to be about 5".

Huge update Tons of more power

Nothing new really... Gearing was way off with mudzillas so i bought set of used 235/75-15 Bfg At's. Planning to try them out this weekend with hopefully not so much smoke from clutch ...might have to cut/regroove tires for better offroad/mud traction.
-
They are well worn Maxxis Mudzilla LT 33x13.50-15 I might have to get rid of the back doors Front wheels are rubbing on lower spring plate. 2" spacers will fix that problem...
-
Hood didn't leave a mark on the windshield. Fortunately hood is so flimsy with that hole in the middle There is rubber hood straps trying to keep hood closed. Next time i might remember to hook them properly ...btw the windshield is a nice accessory driving around at -25 degrees Celsius (-13 degrees Fahrenheit)

Hmm... It might not be an optical illusion Stock front suspension dosn't seem to be able to handle Motocross track jumps

Do you notice anything wrong in this picture? Maby this clip will explane everything... ps. Here is our old setup in action:

Time to update front suspension. I'm trying to fit Lecacy hubs and shocks (2wd BACK shocks). Here is Ej18 2wd front(lower in picture) and back shocks. Back shocks seem to have 2" more travel than front at 8,8" of travel Planning to run on 12" wide 27" ATV tires with redrilled rims. Only 10" wide 25"'s in picture. Made some 5*100 -> 6*139,7 adapters Lots of clearance Btw. Does the 2wd inner joints fit ea tranny? or do i have to fabricate custom shafts....

I'm glad that you like it. monstaru: I'm from Finland. That car is just my daily driver. Opel Omega, German cop car replica uberoo: Cooling system is maby the only thing that can be moved back for now. I'm going to install a Suzuki Sj410 t-case with 3" lift and try to move front and back subframe forward 4-8 inches and engine couple of inches back. That should move the center of gravity. Also rollcage and bigger gas tank (25L -> 75L) will help. Scott in Bellingham: At earliel pictures its a stock subaru radiator. Latest radiator is from Vw Golf mk2 1,3C with radiator cap fitting from Yamaha Exciter 2 (snowmobile) Has anyone done t-case install with 3" lift? Project pics would help. I'm wondering about front diff and engine placement...

About a year ago i bought this this -91 mpfi 5spd d/r Leone for 40€ ( about 51usd). Unfortunately i found out that engine wont fit my Legacy, so... Hatch? Pick-up? nah... too big overhangs 2" lift, 6lug conversion and 33" at's for winter and 225/75-15 baldies for summer (I'm trying to find better tires) Long travel (stock) suspension Found some practical use for subbie... Some short clips... Allmost forgot... (edit: Fixed the last video link)
