  1. You guys kick rump roast...Jerry, I'll call you in a bit...I have a 425 number so you know who's calling:banana:
  2. Well, being on unemployment makes 5 bucks pretty scarce...as for the choke, it starts great and runs good when cold, then idles like its gonna blow up and wont re start when hot! taking all my pennies to try and get it running so I can find some work!!

  3. SWEET!!! Im stuck in Yakima with it right now. If I can get it there, when is a good time? text me 425-417-7309 thanks!!!

  4. I specifically remember looking at the kit, and reading those numbers!!!! I'm glad I came here!!! Thanks!!! And the guys at my local NAPA have been great till now, but then again, I always get parts for my pickup and it's a chevy easy to find stuff for!!!
  5. Thanks everyone, this is my 1st suby, I'm learning as I go, I know they have long life engines and I hope I can get mine going well enough to make it worth it!!! car has 260,000 miles on it, engine is a replacement I'm sure, it needs work but it's fun to stump-jump....when it runs
  6. Thanks a lot for thie info!! Yeah, I have no choice but to work on it myself!!! It's my first subaru, I know chevy's well, so I'm learning as I go. NAPA told me there was only 1 carb kit. I'm going to order the other one and see if it works! Thanks again!!!

  7. My SUB looks just like that one....I can't find the carb problem, it has a mystery carb, it's not numbered. It's an 86GL if i could get it running right, I'd love to put a lift on it!!!

  8. HA!! trust me, will take a lot more than that to freak me out!!! LOL!!! I have a pic of me changin my tire on my PHOTOBUCKET. I'm trying to put up a profile pic, I got an avi, but i dont see where to post profile pic...Im a RATARD sorry..
  9. Sorry, It's a habit and kinda my "calling card" it helps break up the words on a chatbox, so I just leave them on....I have an 86 GL. It's givin me hell!!!! Figured this would be the plave to get it worked out!!!
  10. Agreed!!! And i love your title....im known for it as well anywho, the weber would kick azz, but the car just isnt worth it i dont think, has 260,000 miles, a bad cv joint, and goes through some oil. I ordered the only hitachi carb that the napa guys said they had, and the kit only went up to an 84. Ugh. A junk yard carb would no doubt yield the same crap...if i could get a used weber, for a decent price, id consider it....
  11. HAHAHA! IM A ACTIVE MEMBER ON A SNOWMOBILE FORUM, AND THIS ONE HAS WAY DIFFERENT RULES, SO IM ADJUSTING....LOL I HAVE A PHOTOBUCKET... HERE YA GO.. http://s785.photobucket.com/home/WYNTERBREW/index HOPE THAT DIDN'T LOG ANYONE INTO MY ACCOUNT!!!
  12. I cannot find a rebuild kit for this thing, it has a number of 23-29 and a hitachi symbol, and a japanese subaru symbol on it. No other markings. All i know is it's an ea82, apparently not the original engine (has orange paint markings on it, was told it's a replacement) and it wont idle consistently to save its a$$. It now wont start. Before it wouldnt idle, made a gasket, now it either dies, or idles way too high, or wont start....grrrr...help!!!
  13. Hola......im from washington. I have a crappy old "booze-a-roo" but its a lot of fun...hoping you peeps here can help me keep it running so i can abuse it more
