  1. this is unsolcited, subjective slander, and is in no way pertinant to the discussion.
  2. i dont remember what trans you have, but if its a manual put it in 4wd(lo if ya got it) 5th gear w e brake on. if its an auto first of all, my apologies for having to run that, do the breaker bar/bump the starter method.
  3. you can drop you engine xmember to "level out" the geometry. lengthened radius rods too. no matter what they are going to wear quicker than a stock rig. hth
  4. wont be any better than the 95 hp it came with from the factory. do a search. youll find answers
  5. where did you find a mls headgasket for a ea82t?
  6. freeze the axle? once you get a couple threads through you can usually pry them through with two hammers/ screwdrivers. good luck
  7. ...should not have gone for the DR5 swap on crapwagon on a monday night....but we did. and now theres an extra lever in my loyale....
  8. sounds like you need a first gen legacy wagon. these can be had for less than 1K most of the time and parts in the junkyard are becoming just as plentiful, if not more so than the old loyale/gls.
  9. besides, a 4'' plus bigger tires yields 6-8'' of total "up" anyways.....get reading buddy
  10. ......you lift it by using the search function
  11. there is a cone washer and a spring washer. the spring washer needs to "point" out with the convex side. if not done correctly, your castle nut will back out. this can also occur if the splines in the hub are worn/stripped wooo! 1000 posts, and a couple may have even been correct
  12. from the looks of that remote, you also have a toshiba big screen in there somewhere?
  13. either way, new tires are awesome. you wont regret it
  14. Again thank you for (hopefully) stifling some of the redundancy around here. Ill be trying this out this weekend... my (california) 86 GL wagon idles fine but craps out under acceleration. fuel filters are gravy.... i know its the carb, which is dirty and foreign to me. if I dont get it figured out soon im going to attempt an spfi swap, Ive got everything to do it. That said, Id rather make Whitey run with what he brung so to speak. RV
  15. I think you are on the right track, tires first, then everything I posted.
  16. cv axles can look fine and still be wobbly, especially if they are remanned axles. alignment is important at high speeds as well. oh ya, check your axle nuts and the washers under em. the one that looks flat isnt, the convex side goes out. torque axle nut as bleeding tight as you can..or about 145 ftlbs ps.....what kind of soob are we talking about here?
  17. cvs, struts, balljoints......any loose or cracked bolts/bushings.
  18. im hoping that the imbalance that the epoxy adds doesnt make the whole thing break again. btw I watched that whole video and was thoroughly impressed. im sure there are other fans that will fit in there. too bad i sold my loyale rs yesterday, i woulda swapped you (think rx lite)
  19. I will vouch for his setup, capn_r has managed to retain things that a lot of folks would say you cant with an EJ swap.....like a/c
  20. those are even more rare than Jackman 14''s Build looks awesome, I really admire your ingenuity. Like a ninja, you employ your surroundings and materials to create the situation you desire.
