simulator lol? I think Im pickin up what youre puttin down. Ill know even better when it comes time for that part to take place. Until I fix the rockers/front end/ bed rot (maybe lol), I feel like I am putting the cart before the horse so to speak. Lets see that bracket I know Im not the only one who would appreciate that

sweet, thank you for the knowledge. I can add to the "have" list the parts you mentioned. At this point Im not necessarily planning on lifting it, but we all know how that goes.... I knew about the front clips being the same, but I need rockers from a two door car right? Im sure somebody who possesses some amount of welding prowess could accomplish bodging 4 door stuff but I dont want to find out until I have to.

parts are stacking up for this little guy faster than work is getting done. I have been occupied with other peoples cars for the last couple weeks. this has been beneficial, however. heres the "plan" SPFI pistons in the EA81 (need to get new rings probably) SPFI swap, for mpgs and more bettah EA82 trailing arms/rear drums (maybe discs someday) loyale single range pushbutton 5spd thats coming out of my wagon soon. EA82 LCAs/radius rods/xmember/brakes. (anybody have links for this stuff??) I plan on this being my DD with bennies so the wagon wont screw me when I break things, which is going to start happening more with the work going into that. the single range has gotten the wagon through lots of rough stuff so I figure itll do just fine in the BRAT. I have all the parts I need except of course rocker panels under the doors, and a new front clip.............anybody got a 2 door gen2 I can cut up?....or a front clip from any gen 2??

EA82 LSD rear diff conversion
Subruise replied to torxxx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the clutch type lsd came in turbo models of the ea82 series. the majority were 3.7 geared but i think some xt may have come w 3.9. the cool part is swapping the rig gear out for a 3.9 and keeping your gear ratio -
i met a guy at my burger joint one day with a stock turbo wagon, he said he goes there a lot. when are you thinking of going?

Subruise replied to 4play's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
nice fab work man! Ill add to the trans/rear diff mystery: my legacy was AT and had a 3.9 gear ratio. this was a 92 L wagon -
ill say that while im far from being proven worthy of anything beyond enthusiastic and wanting to join, my place in Tacoma is open to whomever wants to come turn a wrench. im within reach of believing my car will live through some runnage......i just havent earned the XP yet to warrant "stepping up" for the Tacoma area yet.

so.....its not?

search.....cleaning isnt even half the job. those heads need to be flat or you are wasting your time. until you make them that way, they wont be. -
hit me up when you get here
